## What is Beyond the Vet Vitals?

Beyond the Vet Vitals is a lifelong health and wellbeing tracker for dogs and cats — from their first days at home through their senior years.

Every pet has their own normal. Beyond the Vet Vitals helps owners learn, record and follow that normal over time, creating a personalised picture of their pet's health throughout every stage of life.

Track important health and wellbeing information including weight, temperature, appetite, water intake, toileting, activity, mobility, pain and comfort, medications, blood glucose and other health observations — all in one place.

Simple daily and periodic check-ins make it easy to build a health history without turning pet ownership into a medical exercise. As months and years of information accumulate, clear visual trends can help owners recognise when something is changing.

For puppies and kittens, establish healthy baselines as they grow and develop.

For adult pets, keep track of changes in weight, behaviour, activity and everyday wellbeing that can otherwise be easy to overlook.

For senior pets and pets living with chronic conditions, monitor comfort, mobility, pain, medication and important health indicators more closely.

Health trends and records can be shared with your veterinary team, providing useful information about what has been happening at home between veterinary visits.

Because sometimes the most important change isn't a single abnormal reading — it's a change from what's normal for your pet.

Beyond the Vet Vitals is designed as a home health-tracking and awareness tool and does not replace veterinary examination, diagnosis or treatment. If you are concerned about your pet's health, contact your veterinary practice.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-10-05

New records, built with a vet at Beyond the Vet Clinic:

• Lumps & bumps: tap where a lump is on a body map, measure it, and see whether it is changing. The app tells you when one is worth showing your vet.
• Being sick: log each time, what came up and how they seem. Blood, or anything they shouldn't have swallowed, tells you to contact your vet the same day.
• How much they ate: one tap after a meal. Eating less, eating more, and the combinations that matter, such as hungrier but losing weight, are flagged.
• Drinking more? Measure their water over 24 hours and the app judges it against their weight.
• Vet visit prep and the spreadsheet export include all of them.

Also new:
• Adding a pet asks a few quick questions, so the right checks are switched on from the start.
• A short Getting started guide for each new pet, and Help on the home screen.
• Look round first with five example pets.
• Our Terms of Use, with a short "Before you start" the first time you open the app.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-01

Subscriptions are now available, with a 7-day free trial for adult, mature and senior pets. Puppies and kittens stay free.

• Start a free trial from any check on an adult pet
• Clearer messages if the App Store can't be reached
• The annual plan now shows exactly how much it saves

### 1.1 — 2026-09-28

Vet Vitals now covers the whole of a pet's life. Puppies and kittens are free; adult, mature and senior pets are covered by one household subscription with a 7-day free trial.

• A subscription that follows your pets through every life stage
• Sign-in links now open straight into the app
• Clearer wording on temperature, tummy upsets and when to call the practice
• Every check, alert and piece of guidance reviewed and approved by a vet
