Can't play. There is something wrong. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unable to make the moves stick *2025-09-30* When attempting to play a card, system keeps rejecting the move. After many attempts, system accepts the card and play resumes. Melds cannot be completed for same reason **Developer response:** Is the drop site highlighted (indicates that you can drop the card and it will be accepted)? The top left corner of the card must be within the drop site. Run the demo to see examples. ### 1/5 — Frequent crashing *2023-02-16* Used to be a great game but has recently started crashing, usually when I’m winning, so I’ve changed to another version which isn’t as good but more reliable. ### 1/5 — Bezique *2021-07-02* I know how to play bezique but I can’t understand how to play this so no good for me. **Developer response:** Can you give more detail? Did you read the help? To play a card from your hand, drag the chosen card from your hand into the discard pile outline or into the card played by the opponent. To draw a card, drag the top card of the stock pile into your hand if you want to keep it or into the discard area if you want to discard it. ### 1/5 — Bug Fixes *2021-01-04* Cannot get the first card to play or stay in place, bugs from three years ago have not been fixed. So, have not been able to even start a game, poor. **Developer response:** Make sure that the upper left corner of the card that you want to discard is within the discard box (if you are discarding first) or is within the card that your opponent discarded (if you are discarding second). The discard box (or opponent discard) will be highlighted when you can drop your card. ### 1/5 — bezique app is a fraud *2019-12-15, version 2.3* Dear people, if you check the game app you’ll see that “it doesn’t work”. IT DOS NOT WORK. You let those people steal our money. I want my money back. Since it’s you who let those people fraud us, please pay my money back. ### 1/5 — Kind of a mess *2019-06-28* Not clear. But, it is too difficult to put down meld or any combination. Therefore the game is useless and cannot be played. Please try it and see if this problem can be corrected. Thank you. **Developer response:** You need to single tap on all the cards that you want to meld. The cards will be highlighted. Then drag the cards to the melding area at the left side of the screen and drop them on any already melded card or, if there are no melded cards, on the meld outline box. You can also tap on the score pad to automatically highlight the cards to meld and then you need only to drag them. Have you been able to put down any meld at all ? ### 1/5 — Help *2018-08-10* I like the game of Bezique and as a beginner this would be a very useful app however it is very difficult to drop the lead card in the box. Is this a common problem or can it be fixed. **Developer response:** Make sure that the bottom right corner of the box is covered by the lead card when you drop the card onto the box. The box should be highlighted when the drop of the card will be accepted. Make sure the preference "Highlight Drop Site" "when discarding" is set to on (the default setting). I know how to play this game very well, and I can’t even get started in rookie mode! You should refund my money back to me. This does not work! It is clunky, confusing, poorly designed and impossible to play at any level. Thanks. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great game *2025-04-09* Love it ### 5/5 — Excellent app *2022-02-12* Was at first put off by some less than complimentary reviews but as I was new to Bezique and wanted to learn, went ahead and bought the app. One of the best investments I have made. Don’t understand the quibbles made by some. Once you have mastered the light-fingered, deft pick up and drop off required when moving individual cards, the game is very enjoyable and, as far as I can tell, follows all the rules. The game even tells you when to put down a meld from your own hand that you might have overlooked. Easy app, no bells or whistles, and more importantly, no ads. Thank you Mr Hale. ### 5/5 — Gr8 card game for all the family! *2017-07-29* My late grandfather loved Bezique when I was growing up. It was a family favourite and I am delighted to see Bezique an Apple App. Bezique is well worth getting to grips with and is quite addictive once you get the hang of it. 'Pomps', my late grandfather (5.11.2002), would have approved exceedingly! Give Bezique a go and you'll have another gr8 card game 2 entertain you. ### 4/5 — At last Bezique! *2017-02-16* Very pleased to see this app - Bezique is a great card game and this is THE only app I have seen for it - don't think it is a very popular game in the U.S hence lack of apps - So 4 stars for that. App is a bit on the 'clunky' side and the interface could use some work - tricky to place cards/melds sometimes and it is a bit basic looking - BUT the game itself works okay - scoring is okay and it moves along at a decent enough speed -- some card apps are too speedy and don't give one time to think. The app includes a run down of the rules and a teaching option for those new to the game. I might be able to make an improvement. ### 2/5 — Disappointing *2021-12-21* I love Bezique & have played it since I was a child. I wouldn’t say I’m great but I am ok certainly better than some. In all my years I have never seen as many double Beziques as this game. It is definitely skewed towards the computer winning almost every time! Even though I do not have a ‘real’ person to play against I am dumping this game. I’d rather not play at all than play against this game! **Developer response:** There is no skewing the cards in favor of the computer player. The computer does not peek or know what cards are coming up or what cards you are holding (except of course for the cards that you have melded). ### 2/5 — Missing top turned up card *2021-03-22* I’m an avid bezique player and this is a good computer version (first I have seen). However it fails in the aspect that you are meant to play each trick for a turned up card (not one you can’t see). If this was fixed would be 5* **Developer response:** I am not sure what you mean. Can you explain in more detail? ### 2/5 — Bezique *2020-02-07* I like this game because I grow up playing it. But there is a major flaw in its addition. Somehow the computer cheats when it put down jack of diamond and queen of spade. It will go from 10 points to 500 points. Please fit it **Developer response:** The 500 points is for double bezique (QS JD put down when QS JD already melded, or two QS JD melded at once). If this is not the case, then indeed it is an error. Do you remember the situation?
