### 2/5 — Glucose record

*2021-01-22, version 10.4*

Cannot get readings on what is in the records

### 4/5 — Good app for iPad and iPhone, but....

*2019-03-24*

This application generally works well, but it makes me nervous that the sync between devices is a bit buggy (deleted records keep reappearing) and the application crashes whenever you attempt to send an export to another application (e.g. to email it). Your data is essentially locked into the app. If the developer reads this, I would love to see these things fixed as this is one of the few blood sugar monitoring apps that displays properly on an iPad.

### 4/5 — Almost perfect for my needs

*2017-08-25*

I have been using this app for several years now to monitor my Type II diabetes controlled by pills only. It does a nice job of syncing between my iPhone and my iPad. I tend to enter most data on the phone and generally use the iPad look at charts and review with my doctor. It would be nice to have a landscape view on the iPhone for charts and an explanation for the difference between total and daily averages , but otherwise it fits my needs nicely.

### 3/5 — BGluMon

*2017-06-23, version 10.1*

This app has a number of good things going for it as well as a few oddities that are a real turn-off.

I am a Type 1 using Novolog and Levemir, and porting a Dexcom CGM.

The ability to choose keyboard or wheel input is great. I happen to hate using the, albeit quaint, wheel system. The Reports section is varied. However, when choosing the Plain Table view, one does not see medications. As everyone knows, insulin will peek and subside, very much key to hourly glucose trends. It is necessary to see the medication dosage and time it was taken in order to interpret the Glucose readings (especially on the fly, lest one should choose to take a bolus before the previous dosage of insulin has peaked and thus create a double whammy.)

The graphs, on an iPhone, cannot be read in Landscape View, making its aspect in Portrait view very difficult to read and interpret. The pic they have on the iStore must be from an iPad, as it is in Landscape view.

Inputing medication (insulin in my case) takes too many steps (you have to press medication once to get to the medication screen and again to pick the med; the first press should give a screen with a choice of meds one wants to input).

Furthermore, one can only input one med per entry. I often have to take both my insulins at the same time (different injections). You have to create a completely new entry to enter the second injection dosage. Again, you will not see either dosage in the daily Plain Table view.

Lastly, I wish they would include a countdown timer as part of the app. I have not seen this feature on any glucose monitor app, to be fair, and I have checked many. The point of the timer is, as mentioned earlier, related to insulin's propensity to peak. To be sure, different insulins will peak at different times and also vary depending on the subject (putting aside activity and food intake). This timer should be able to be set for different insulins and to beep at he time the user has preset the peak time for each insulin. Of corse, this timer should be able to multi-task; that is, more than one timer (associated to different insulins) being able to operate at the same time.

I tried contacting support many times to see if there is a way around the problems I see, but I have not received even a "Will get back to you about that later" response. Zip. Nada. I sent short e-mails five or six times.

So, if you only take one med, and you don't care about hourly glucose trends to guide you with your boluse decisions, the this app is good.

### 4/5 — Very Good App

*2016-10-15*

I have tried several monitoring apps and this one is great! Would give five stars if the iPad version was a little more user friendly. For example, moving between fields when adding a record should save automatically. If you do not hit done, it doesn't save the field. It was a bit frustrating at first. Also, the chart range should auto automatically increment to include the current date. You will not see today's entry unless you go in and change it when in custom. Otherwise, highly recommend this one.

### 4/5 — Handy app!

*2016-03-07, version 9.0*

I prefer BGluMon over all the other glucose monitoring apps as it is easy to use. It offers you different ways to monitor your glucose levels. I especially like the ease of editing and ability to keep notes. I have recommended it to several diabetics and some health care professionals.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2015-11-13, version 8.0.2*

This app is wonderful. I have been using for several years and I love it. I appreciate being able to set my own categories and the graphs really help. I love the summery report I print out for my Doctor.

### 5/5 — Therapeutic Tool

*2015-10-21*

I have been using this app for approximately 3 years or more. It has been helpful, in fact, instrumental in managing my glucose. I am able to generate different types of reports which chart my successes as well as any failures. It figures out your A1C the ultimate management goal to defer the catastrophic damages related to Diabetes. This is a keeper. An internist who is himself diabetic was excited about this app.

### 5/5 — Impressive

*2015-09-06, version 8.0.2*

Great tool for tracking blood glucose readings and understanding trends.

### 5/5 — Works like a charm

*2015-08-04, version 8.0.2*

Really easy to use and enter values.
Great look and very helpful.

### 5/5 — Indispensable

*2015-06-08, version 8.0.2*

I appreciate the ability to customize the app to track the metrics and categories that matter to me on a daily basis. There is also the ability to generate reports that I can share.

### 4/5 — Glucose Tracking tool

*2015-05-22, version 8.0.2*

Great took for tracking glucose levels with appropriate graphs and other tracking tools

### 5/5 — Very Helpful & Easy To Use

*2015-03-15, version 8.0.2*

I needed something to allow me track and view entries via charting. Works as shown and have had no problems with it. One of the best features is emailing my doctor the chart / data prior to getting blood work.

### 5/5 — It works

*2015-02-28*

I spend a bit of time looking at data for my work. This app shows useful data. If the data taken by the user is sufficiently random the long term average would show a1c, if only they added it.

It has helped me see trends and control my glucose level. It is imperative that this curve is available with every data inpit, making most software furnished by manufactures useless for the user and directed primarily at the monitoring doctor😰

### 4/5 — Share data with Health app?

*2015-02-28, version 8.0.2*

Good App, but when will it share data with Apple's Health app?

### 5/5 — Bglumon

*2015-02-12, version 8.0.2*

We only use this for monitor and teaching, but it is Great! The latest update was a great step forward.. VERY happy with it. Thank you!!

### 5/5 — Willy Lie

*2015-02-04, version 8.0.2*

Excellent App.easy to use.. Love it..

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Another App Ruined By Subscription

*2024-07-31, version 14.0*

I have been using this app to log and print reports for my doctor for many years but since this latest update I can no longer generate reports unless I pay a subscription. Wish I’d known this before updating the app. Not happening. I’ll just use the mySugr app instead. All good things are spoiled by greed.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2020-07-06*

App is useless - as described,it's will sync between iphone and ipad.
1st sync health (data) and ipad. (clean data) was "done" - BUT after that app on ipad crashes every start (but stays in background).
Additional -the "sync"cleans a part of data on iphone.

The app Idea was good, but It's complete useless for iPad. Don’t pay for that

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review from July 2020. We sincerely apologize for the syncing issues and app crashes you experienced.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2015-03-23, version 8.0.2*

Interface issues include hard to use scroll wheel for PIN entry, hard to use data entry (including need to enter decimal points), reporting doesn't recognise some log entries, no ability to choose what period you want to average results across. A waste of money.

### 1/5 — Good but not so good

*2014-10-06, version 7.1*

Just downloaded the app because it seemed just what I needed, and I have been going through a lot of tracking apps to find the right fit. Really like this app but am disappointed that there is a bug in it. I cannot edit the Medications or the Categories fields. Doesn't work, PERIOD! try to edit and the keyboard pops up, then disappears??? Is there a fix coming? have reported it already and am waiting for a human response :)

### 1/5 — Doesn't Work

*2014-10-05, version 7.1*

The feature that allows you to edit the categories doesn't work.

### 1/5 — Unhappy

*2014-10-05, version 7.1*

This app won't let me type in my meds can someone help me with that or all i did was purchase junk!!! Someone please help!!!!!!

### 1/5 — App does not work for use with more than one insulin type

*2013-11-25, version 7.0.1*

I have contacted them several times about this problem and have had no response. Poor support.

### 1/5 — Good features advertised but App does not work!

*2013-09-22, version 6.6*

I purchase this app thinking that the features looked good. The description says that it has a pass code protection, wifi and bluetooth sync between devices, iCloud sync, import and export in .cvs and .pdf. so that the data can be viewed on a computer, a report generator that can prepare and send reports to doctors, and a backup feature. Unfortunately nothing seems to work. I imported a cvs file with my prior readings, but the data was not incorporated into the reports. All reports are blank and the sync feature (Bluetooth or wifi) does not recognize other devices. (ie my iPad cannot find my iPhone) Even the emailing of (blank) reports does not always work. Disappointing and waste of money.

### 1/5 — This APP doesn't work

*2013-08-20, version 6.6*

I have the iPhone version that works fine. The iPad version doesn't work. Press + go to Glucose type in your # press save, stays blank. I reported this when I got my iPad in April and so far no response . I couldn't give it no stars.

### 1/5 — Very disappointing!

*2013-08-15, version 6.5*

Has potential!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Почему требуется повторная покупка?

*2025-05-02*

Мною несколько лет назад уже была сделана покупка. Требовать покупку повторно - не этично:((

### 5/5 — Lost data

*2024-08-01, version 14.0*

Update yesterday and list all data. Been using for nearly 10 years and now all that data is gone!

Update—there is actually a way to import old data. Should have been done automatically

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2020-12-08*

Long time satisfied user, not a paid agent. I have been using this app for quite a few years, and really like the ease of use along with the multiple reports available. Quickly syncs with my Health App to keep all my data in one place. I have found it very useful and informative. Tracking consistently over time gives me a great picture as to how well ( or not) I am controlling my diabetes. My doctor was very impressed with the reports and charts, and wanted to get it for herself.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-07-04, version 10.4*

I have used this app off and on for years and love it. When I failed to log my glucose, it got out of control. It is the routine testing AND logging results that keeps me on track and healthy and controlling my diabetes with pills rather than injections.

### 5/5 — Great Diabetic Tool

*2018-05-23, version 10.2*

I used a number of software to record my Sugar numbers over the years. Your product is the best, my Doctor loves the reports I print.
Thanks
Barry Matus

### 5/5 — Exactly what I needed.

*2017-05-30*

There are many apps available that automatically collect data from the particular device they were made for. Most are very bad at rendering reports for sharing with your doctor. However, if your device specific app writes automatically to IOS Health, this app will read the glucose data from IOS Health and output really great customized PDF reports. Worth every penny I paid for it.

### 5/5 — As Advertised

*2017-05-01, version 10.1*

I have been using this app for about 6 months and it has performed exactly as expected.

### 5/5 — What I Need

*2016-11-01, version 9.0*

Been using this for 3 years. Exactly what I need. I recommend.

### 5/5 — Bglumon

*2016-01-14, version 9.0*

I had this on my iPhone and it worked great. I got a iPad and this app will not let me post any data . Ok it is working now . It was me that was the problem . Works great easy to use.

### 5/5 — Excellent - a must have

*2015-11-16, version 8.0.2*

Easy to use. Just enough functions to see what's going on.
