## What is BIB?

Medzinárodná súťažná prehliadka originálov ilustrácií kníh pre deti Bienále ilustrácií Bratislava (BIB) je jedno z najvýznamnejších podujatí, ktoré sa koná pod záštitou UNESCO a Medzinárodnej únie pre detskú knihu (IBBY), s podporou Ministerstva kultúry Slovenskej republiky. Hlavným organizátorom je BIBIANA, medzinárodný dom umenia pre deti. Na Bienále ilustrácií Bratislava, ktoré je kľúčovým podujatím výtvarného umenia a ilustrácie pre deti svetového významu, sa každý nepárny rok na jeseň stretáva to najlepšie z ilustrátorskej oblasti už od roku 1967. Tohto ročníka súťaží 275 ilustrátorov a ilustrátoriek z 36 krajín s 2072 ilustráciami z 355 kníh.
