There is usually no X to click so I can move on. I like to listen to scriptures as I go to sleep, but I try multiple times to enter and usually just give up. I will be working through the resources on a verse and the app suddenly changes to a different book, chapter and verse; what I am researching stays in place but when I return to the Bible it has changed to a different book and verse. The audio feature is another frustration as it will change from where I left off and even show the place I stopped previously and take me to a completely different book and chapter. When paying for a subscription I would expect better. In the past when I have submitted my concerns the team has been responsive but fixes not quick or workable. I deleted the app immediately. I’ll use the online version and avoid the app. And if and when the online web version gets infested with advertisements, I’ll dump that too. They go on for a long time before the option to close them comes up. And sometimes it never does, forcing engagement with the advertisement to finally get to the Bible. This makes using the app in church or at a study almost impossible. I end up just googling the scriptures on the web. I wanted a paid version that’s ad free but I can’t find one. Bible Gateway is a great product but swimming through the traps upon opening drove me away. However, the Study Bible notes were not very user-friendly. I'm sure that there are ways to look things up. Also, when I was trying to read from one of the translations of the Bible, sometimes, it would not come up. Occasionally when that hapened, I could click on the reference for the verse of the day, and that might or might not let me put in the reference that I wanted to read. I thought I'd cancel my subscription. But now that you've updated the app, I thought I’d give it another try. But, it won't let me. It says that in-app purchases are not allowed.
