So far, this app seems to be very simplistic and very useful and effective in what it does. You can list all the scriptures that you want very easily and clearly, and memorize them and go through a list of passages once you have memorized them for review. There are flash cards and other review options that aren’t incredibly tedious, like typing everything out, but it can reveal the first letter or first word in order to help you. It is very useful and helpful! My one annoyance is that if you have a passage of scripture that is rather large, there is no way to shrink the text so it all fits on the screen at once, you have to scroll in order to see the whole thing. A simple update to be able to adjust the size of the text would easily fix this issue. ### 2/5 — App no longer works *2022-09-19, version 4.5* Loved this app but when I opened it today, all I see is the Getting Started info. When the iPhone goes to sleep the app defaults back to the folders page rather than staying where you were. Its Christ walking up the stairs to enter the site and He’s encouraging you to follow? That is so fitting and so missed. It’s truly a Godsend!! It is AMAZING all you can do with this app!! To have God’s Word at your fingertips & exactly the verses you may need at a monuments notice, is sooo convenient PLUS you can create specific files with the ability to share them with others in need! This app has encouraged me to memorize Scripture!! I can practice or review the verses I’m working on anytime I find I have a free moment! The way you can “fill in the blanks” as you practice memorizing is a phenomenon aid!! I have told SO MANY fellow Christians about this WONDERFUL app!! I thank God for the creators of it & for allowing me to stumble across it!! It is VERY versatile: add your own verses; organize everything by folders; GREAT testing abilities with text removal or hide all text. Only 1 issue: there is a point where you try to indicate a Scripture is a target, favorite or memorized and when doing so the app crashes. Therefore - I am not receiving a true representation of what I have learned. This may have something to do as a combination of the verses being an addition (not in original library) and crossing a threshold (exceed either adding so many custom verses and/or a threshold in number of verses memorized). Only work-around is to use folders to track those verses as memorized - even if they are not in the memorized folder. I had written to the developer but did not receive a response and the latest May 2020 bug fix has not resolved. Otherwise - this app is OUTSTANDING and a great tool - better than the old days of Navigators memory card systems and 3x5 cards! **Developer response:** Thanks for your thorough review. Yes, we introduced a bug that caused crashes, but it is fixed in 3.64. Please let me know if you have any more problems. Sorry for not responding, I never received your email, please resend email. ### 4/5 — Great...if I could see! *2020-05-25* I am really enjoying this app-I especially love the easy to use (and navigate!) organizational aspects! My issue is that when I put a verse in, the text are is so dark and the text itself is also dark so it is very difficult to read (it’s fine once the verse is saved). But if I do need to fix a word, when I go to the edit option the text area AND the text is all white so I can’t see anything at all to make changes! Very frustrating-especially for someone who makes silly mistakes (hitting o instead of i for example)!! It could be because I have my iPhone set to “dark mode”. I may change that and see if it helps. Other than that issue-This app is wonderful for helping me to organize and memorize scripture! **Developer response:** Thanks for the review. We fixed that dark mode problem, Thanks for pointing it out. We will adapt the app for dark mode later. You can use the black color scheme on Settings tab in the meantime if you need to dim it. ### 5/5 — Best scripture memory app *2020-04-17* I’ve tried several scripture memory apps and this is the simplest and easiest to use. It feature four of the most widely used translations, and it has an incredibly wide range of verses already installed, plus the ability to easily add others. Many are grouped into the same categories used by the NAV Topical Memory System, so if you’ve used that, you’ll enjoy being able to use those same groupings. The flash card feature is great too. This is an excellent tool for memorizing scripture. **Developer response:** Thanks for the review. It is flexible and allows for custom passages and organization. The feature which allows you to record/listen to yourself saying the verse and the "fill-in-the-blank" option are nice touches which aid in the memorization process. (Protip: hold the phone still to keep words from automatically reappearing when you have blanked them out.) **Developer response:** Thanks for the Protip, if you tip the phone too far it converts to landscape mode and refreshes the screen. I think that is what you experienced. Many thanks! ### 2/5 — Doesn’t even have the whole Bible *2019-03-06, version 3.50* Seems good for memorizing but it doesn’t even have the whole Bible on it. I looked for Proverbs 3:1-18 and only Proverbs 3:5,6 were available. It doesn’t have complete chapters and is missing many books. However if a verse you do need to memorize is on here then it is fine for that. ### 4/5 — Love but Really miss *2019-01-01* This app is great for memorizing scripture. I love the part where you read the verse and fill in the blanks and more blanks appear until you find you have memorized the whole thing. It has MANY good features such as being able to record the verse. I used it all the time until it was updated and the beautiful image of following Christ up the stairs to enter the site was discontinued and the verses I had memorized were no longer in my memorized folder. If that image was restored I would probably use it again, even though I would have to go back and add all the verses I had memorized. Without it, the app seems unfinished and somehow loses its appeal. There is a feature where you can restore your old files, but I think I may have downloaded the app twice looking for that image I liked, and then lost them. I wanted to try I verse to memorize scripture that was free but this one didn’t even know that Romans 8:31 was a verse so this app was of no use to me ### 1/5 — Changes 😖 *2017-10-04, version 3.0* Design too plain. Background was great now pages blah. Former was easy to navigate now I am lost and again pages too stark white. If operating changes necessary ok but color design was better. I say it's the best because it allows you to hide either the reference or the verse and to check yourself on the specific verse(s) you want to memorize. I have been using Bible Memory versus on and off for the past 10 years, and find that meets all my needs in terms of flexibility to review certain verses, the ability to move this around, the ability to cut and paste in different versions. I have been with this app on and off through its ups and downs, but I’m now very happy with the backup, and also the ability to review systematically and change my review patterns around. Thanks ### 5/5 — Great *2020-10-27, version 4.1* I love this app. It has helped me to memorize bible verses but I wish we can make up our own folders so that I can categorize my verses that I have memorized. ### 5/5 — Missing verses *2020-10-06* I have used this app for a number of years and was impressed with its features. Recently however I am missing verses in my many saved folders. On the folders page I see the name of the folders and each one shows the count of verses in that folder. When I select and view the folder they are not all there. Disappointing after the many hours of work to set this up. **Developer response:** True and we are devastated by the loss of a few users verses after 10 years of reliability. We have found the source of the elusive bug and have fixed it. We are currently conducting rigorous testing to insure stability and hope to have a new release soon.
