### 4/5 — Great tool for deeper Bible study

*2018-03-12, version 1.3*

I love this app and I love the fact that I can take it anywhere I go. Having it mobile makes it easy to work wherever I am, whether at the doctor’s office, getting my oil changed, or meditating quietly before a worship service.

The only thing I would change is for the Devs to add pinch-and-zoom capabilities. On my 9.7 in screen it’s not as big as a deal, but for other people for smaller screens I know this is probably an issue, as it was for me previously.

Thanks for the app guys, and keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — Awesome! Great study options

*2016-01-09, version 1.3*

There are many study options for this Bible app, the one I will enjoy the most is the NET Bible with all of the notes. I have this Bible in a physical copy but it will be nice to have the excellent translation notes anywhere and everywhere without having to lug the big study Bible around.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2015-06-08, version 1.01*

This is one of the most helpful apps I have ever used. It is worth it's weight in gold just for it's search capabilities. I love this app and use it a lot to find Scriptures when I can only remember part of the verse. It is great, thank you.

### 3/5 — Great tool but needs updating

*2015-02-09, version 1.01*

Overall it's great. It mirrors the website, but often bits of the project "disappear" when editing or adding relationships. They return when you tap the screen again. It would be better if this app was more iPad centric. Needs some updates, and perhaps just needs to be redone as a standalone app that confirm subscription by login.

### 5/5 — Best App for Greek Sentence Diagramming

*2014-11-18, version 1.01*

I love this app. It is the best bible study app in apple store. Particularly, it has the sentence diagramming module. The diagramming module is so easy to use with fantastic interface. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2014-06-08, version 1.01*

Thankful for the team who put together such a fantastic Bible study tool!

### 3/5 — Great potential but has some issues

*2013-11-15, version 1.0*

I love the Biblearc website and this app looked great. The UI is well done for the most part.

However when I tried to move my a relationship around in one of my arcs I had lots of trouble. Instead of grabbing the relationship it scrolled around. Maybe I'm doing things incorrectly but I couldn't get the hang of it. Would love to give more stars if this is improved.

### 5/5 — Portability

*2013-11-11, version 1.0*

An essential tool for Bible study, Biblearc brings to the iPad a platform previously available only in browser based use. Some users may not realize arcing is a hermeneutical tool, as well as exegetical exercise. Lexical, grammatical and syntactical tools are built in. In addition, it provides logical tools to map the inspired author's thought. This step is often missing in Bible study. Too many students want to jump from the lexical level to the "big idea" or even to application. That usually means the interpreter's idea. The inspired author's idea is authoritative. To get to that level, Biblearc provides logical links to rebuild the author's line of argument. This tool grew out of Dan Fuller's Hermeneutics course at Fuller Seminary. The digital and graphical implementation in Biblearc is a wonder of modern technology. I wish it was a stand alone app for users with slow or non-existent internet access.

### 5/5 — Great tool!

*2013-10-24, version 1.0*

This is a great tool for exegesis. I'm amazed by all of the new features they are adding to it! It just keeps getting better.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Biblearc is great. The app, however, doesn’t work.

*2023-06-12*

Most recent update is 7 years old…

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2023-01-08, version 1.3*

This app has not been updated in seven years. The links don’t work. The Contact Us button included.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work Offline

*2021-06-23, version 1.3*

Why does this exist where websites exist? Every app should work like a program that runs on your phone – not a shortcut to a website. Doesn’t work offline – 1 star. Big no for me. Can’t be dependent on WiFi or using any data where it isn’t necessary to design it that way.

### 1/5 — Pretty useless

*2017-05-05, version 1.3*

Pretty useless actually.

### 1/5 — Limited usefulness

*2013-10-25, version 1.0*

Poorly designed interface and very cryptic instructions with non-functional video links. You can open two translations side by side, but with a lot of wasted screen space. You can do some searches. They want money for "advanced" modules. I was surprised to find that the program wouldn't display any text away from a wifi connection.

### 2/5 — Was a 5 star

*2023-01-29, version 1.3*

2 stars, bad update. Your removed a TON of functionality which made your app unique and worthy of a monthly fee.

Please oh please bring back tabs, it’s very convenient to use tabs when studying. Being able to go back and forward between various tabs is essential.

### 2/5 — Decent but glitchy

*2015-01-29, version 1.01*

Trying to use this app on my iPad, but the bracketing and diagramming tools are pretty glitchy.

Bracketing: Whenever I try to split up a passage for arching/bracketing my project disappears. I have to click my project tab in order for my bracket to show back up. Also, I cannot label any relationships while using my iPad.

Diagramming: I wish I could zoom in while using the diagram feature. My fingers are too big, so it is hard to be precise whatsoever. As a result, I end up moving my diagram on accident...

Overall, this is a great way to view projects I have done on my computer, but it is not very functional.

### 3/5 — Fix videos

*2017-11-08, version 1.3*

Love the app but videos keeps freezing up check those out

### 3/5 — Good...but could be better

*2017-02-26, version 1.3*

Good for having Hebrew and SBL Greek texts in read and compare modes. Needs some fine tuning on pages and accessibility for iPhone.

### 3/5 — So helpful!

*2017-01-20, version 1.3*

If you missed out on formal training in inductive Bible training, here' a place to begin.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app across all platforms

*2024-01-21*

Nothing like it. Many apps have similar parts. None quite so smooth

### 5/5 — This app is extremely helpful!

*2023-04-02*

I like that I can follow the Old Testament in Greek using the LXX, or using a Greek text for the New Testament. I did not take Hebrew, so I rely on the Greek texts, and this helps!

### 5/5 — Fantastic update

*2023-03-19*

The recent update to the Greek New Testament is absolutely fantastic. So many great improvements.

### 5/5 — A treasure of Bible Study Experience

*2019-08-15, version 1.3*

I have been using the app for a while for when I want to go deeper with understanding a passage. I continue to be surprised as i discover new features that make it flexible to do more in depth review of a passage. It really has helped my personal study in the Word. Excellent app. Kudos to the developers!

### 5/5 — Free and Great alternative to Paid Bible Programs

*2018-12-15, version 1.3*

Great program for laypeople and seminary students to do in-depth lexical studies! Hopefully they create a system to input biblical syntax! ( : - that would be awesome!!!

### 5/5 — Priceless

*2017-08-25, version 1.3*

The content available through this site is life changing in developing an intimacy with God through His word. Very grateful for this initiative.

### 5/5 — Loads quickly, easily indexed and searchable

*2017-07-13, version 1.3*

The best Bible app I've seen for breaking down, understanding, and taking notes on scripture.

### 5/5 — Wow

*2017-06-20, version 1.3*

Very impressed with this app. It is a powerful tool for advance Bible study. Try it.

### 5/5 — Well done course

*2017-06-10, version 1.3*

I've been auditing the arcing course and have been impressed with the quality of the material. The assignments are very helpful, especially being able to compare my attempt with the instructor's suggestions. I haven't used the app yet for my own study, so can't speak to more than the quality of the course material.

### 5/5 — Brilliant resource for the biblically interested or committed

*2016-01-31, version 1.3*

Get your hands on the biblical languages and learn to trace the flow of thought/argument in the text. Check out the arcing module. Excellent resource!
