## What is BibleMarker?

BibleMarker is a deep Bible study app built around the inductive method: observe, interpret, apply.
Read Scripture in multiple translations, mark key words, add verse notes, and build structured studies that stay private on your device.

MARK WHAT MATTERS
Create keyword markings with colors, underlines, and custom symbols. BibleMarker can automatically match keywords across chapters and translations, with case-sensitive matching so you can distinguish "LORD" from "Lord." Dismiss false positives, add notes to any verse, and create section headings to organize the passage as you read.

RECORD WHAT YOU SEE
Track people, places, and times as you read. Create custom observation lists around any theme or concept. Every note and annotation stays anchored to the passage you're studying.

SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE
View places on an interactive map. See time expressions on a timeline. Fill out interpretation and application worksheets. Write chapter summaries and book overviews. Track themes across your study.

STRONG'S CONCORDANCE
Tap words in the NASB to see Strong's numbers and the original Hebrew or Greek — helpful for word studies and deeper textual analysis.

MULTIPLE TRANSLATIONS
ASV is included and ready to read offline the moment you open the app. Download 25+ additional translations from the in-app library, including NASB 2020, NASB 1995, KJV, YLT, LEB, Berean Standard Bible, and more. Multiple languages are supported, including Spanish, French, and German. Compare up to 3 translations side-by-side with synchronized scrolling.

PRIVATE AND OFFLINE
Your study data is stored locally on your device. Downloaded translations work offline. No account required, no data sent to any server.

Free. No subscription.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.1.2 — 2026-06-30

Fix: When creating an observation list, the keyword menu now shows only keywords from your current study and book, instead of every keyword you have made.

### 3.1.1 — 2026-06-27

- New, simpler sync: sign in with your email to keep your studies up to
date across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows, and Android.
- Redesigned toolbar that is easier to navigate
- New keyword symbols for marking more of what you study

### 2.1.1 — 2026-05-29

Fix: Adjusted the timeout to allow marking more than one word at a time

### 2.0.1 — 2026-04-29

• Smoother drag and tap behavior on the divider between the reading area and the tool panel. Drag freely, or tap to toggle between half-and-half and your last position. The divider also stays clear of the bottom toolbar.
• Chapter navigation now resets the scroll position to verse 1, so prev/next and swipe always land at the top of the new chapter.
• Larger, easier-to-read letter symbols when marking verses, plus new ready-to-use marking presets for "forgive" and "praise."
• Updated welcome tour and Getting Started page with clearer explanations of how Keywords, Variants, and the Apply action differ, with examples like marking a pronoun. The tour now also walks through the Reference tool for Strong's entries, Hebrew and Greek breakdowns, cross-references, and the people and places tied to each chapter.

### 1.4.6 — 2026-03-30

- Added letters (A-Z) and numbers (0-9) as marking symbols
  - Fixed an issue where the selected word wasn't captured when creating a keyword
