## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2024-07-05*

This app is clearly meant for those who already have a working knowledge of the language. Not only useless for beginners, but might even push them away.

**Developer response:** This app is called "Biblical Greek Dictionary" and provides basic glosses for common words. Along with activities that are designed specifically for people using a Biblical Greek textbook.

### 1/5 — Gibson and Campbell parsing quiz review

*2024-03-10, version 1.9*

Unfortunately there are quite a few errors in the vocab parsing quizzes, which needs a full edit. I was going to use this for my students, but it would be too frustrating sifting out the mistakes. It could be a useful tool if there was an overhaul of its accuracy.

### 2/5 — Don’t color not good

*2023-02-21*

Not sure why but people who create apps seem to be wanting to be artists. The main font in this app is faint blue. Does anyone think someone will not have great eyesight. Same with this form the boxes for tittle and review are barely visible to me and I have nearly 20/20 vision. As a consequence I can barely use it.

Second, instructions in app would be helpful. If they are there I don’t readily see them.

### 3/5 — Missing participles

*2023-05-08*

When I looked up ποιηθεντα, there was not even a mention of participles…

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. The app only contains forms of words that appear in the Greek New Testament plus supplemental words I have entered. Perhaps one day we can add more forms.

### 4/5 — Helpful

*2023-01-31*

Great app. One bug I found is in the parsing drill section, it mistakenly says that έλυον is only imperfect, active, indicative 1st person singular, but doesn’t accept 3rd person plural as a correct answer, even though it’s the same form. Hopefully they get that fixed! 🙏🏻

### 5/5 — Very helpful

*2025-08-19*

This app is a great tool to practice the case system and the verbs. It also has a great lexicon (dictionary) that easily allows you to find words and see the ending patterns for the cases and verbs. Extremely thankful to the people behind this app.

### 5/5 — Incomparable

*2024-06-12*

Amazing for parsing so much that I’ve not even looked at the dictionary.

### 5/5 — LOVE it, but…

*2024-02-02*

I still give the app 5 stars because it’s utility has been phenomenal for me. However, there are many words that I have encountered in the bible (in Greek of course) that are not in this dictionary.

I would also love to see a study feature that tests your knowledge of words, meaning, and pronunciation.

### 5/5 — Such a blessing

*2023-01-23*

Biblical Greek has been such a blessing for me!! Thanks so much!

### 5/5 — Incredible

*2022-07-22, version 1.8*

This is possibly the best app out there for Koine Greek, thankyou to the developer!

## Most praised reviews (2 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Study and review

*2022-02-06*

Great app to quickly look up words and to sharpen your knowledge with the vocabulary drills. Love it and want one for Hebrew as well.

### 5/5 — Really Useful

*2021-07-19, version 1.0*

This app is amazing! You can look up any Biblical word in English and get the original Greek equivalent with its original meaning. So useful for sermons or even to understand the text better for yourself.
