I’m very old and do most of the reading and have always tried to use the correct pronunciation. This app is a must. This app actually helps me read faster since I don’t interrupt my flow as I try to stumble with the pronunciation. I was unaware of there being a “favorites” category (if it’s been there all along, I apologize for not noticing it). Now I don’t have to look up the same pronunciation over and over again. I like studying and knowing how to pronounce some of the harder cities and names of people has made my studying more enjoyable. Not sure when it quit. There are some words that are not in it. I will type exactly as it is in my bible and it doesn’t come up. For instance the word Sabaoth isn’t found. So I’m still not sure how to pronounce it. 😕 ### 2/5 — Not so easy *2017-11-23, version 1.1* I liked the old app better. Otherwise useless if you are interested in serious study. Try adding original language name, it's meaning and pronunciation as well. ### 3/5 — Would have been 5 stars *2023-01-18* My rating would have been 5 stars if the app hadn’t suddenly stopped working, and, if the app help was a secured connection. The app won’t let me reload it, the download gets part way of the way through and stops. Plus, it won’t delete completely from my phone…the app keeps re-appearing in my phone storage list right after I delete it. It shows “no data”, but will not stay deleted! There are times especially when studying the Old Testament that several of the words or bands of places and people aren’t in there. I’ve learned that there are many words and names that are being pronounced incorrectly - some are grossly inaccurate. I thought this app might be quicker and more convenient, but I cannot afford the inaccuracies in it. I will be sticking with my credible and accurate Hebrew and Greek dictionaries that have audio. Might be a little less convenient to use them, but I’d rather my pronunciation be correct. ### 3/5 — Biblical Pronounciation *2016-10-25, version 1.1* This was a great app until it stopped working. I have deleted and reinstalled the app and I have restarted my iPhone. So far every name I've looked up has been there❣️ ### 5/5 — A Much Needed App *2025-04-14* This app is extremely helpful, especially in my adult Bible class where so many people have difficulties pronouncing biblical names. So many times people would rather skip over the names, then learn how to correctly pronounce them. The problem, as I see it, is that we all have names and would correct anyone who incorrectly says our name. Why would we think any differently for those who lived in biblical times? this app is excellent for just such reasons. I highly recommend this app for anyone, especially those who are teaching from the Bible. I recommend the ability to add names to the list if possible, and the ability to add names to the favorites list that maintain the names in alphabetical order.
