## What is Bichinho?

Feed it. Play with it. Clean up after it. Turn the lights off at night. Ignore it, and it gets sick. Ignore that, and it dies.

Bichinho is a virtual pet the way they were in the 90s: a tiny creature on a tiny screen that keeps living while you're not looking. No pause button. It runs in real time — it's hungry at lunch, sleepy at bedtime and calling for you at 3 in the afternoon whether your phone is in your hand or in your pocket.

IT HATCHES IN A MINUTE
Tap the egg to hurry it along. The first hour is the newborn hour: it wants feeding every few minutes, it poops constantly and it never sleeps. Survive that, and things calm down.

IT GROWS UP HOW YOU RAISED IT
Pingo the baby becomes Bolota the child becomes Zóio the teen. What it grows into after that depends on how well you looked after it — a sun-maned Jubão if you were attentive, a chill Sossegado if you were mostly around, a grumpy Rabugento if you weren't. Each one lives a different length of life.

IT CALLS YOU
When it needs something, the bell blinks on the screen and your phone gets a nudge — hungry, bored, a poop to clean, fallen asleep with the lights on. Answer within half an hour and no harm done. Leave it, and it counts.

IT'S A TINY WORLD
Pixel art on a green LCD: your creature on its patch of ground, a sun and a drifting cloud by day, moon and stars at night. Feed it a meal or a snack, play the left-or-right guessing game, check its weight and age, give it medicine when it's sick. Square-wave beeps, a little hop when it's happy, and a proper ghost when the time comes.

MADE TO BE LEFT ALONE — A BIT
No account, no ads, no internet, nothing to buy. Set its bedtime to match yours and a night away is fine. A whole day of neglect is not.

Bichinho is what these were called in Brazil: bichinho virtual, the little virtual creature everyone had on their backpack. This one is built from scratch — original pixel art, original creatures, the same rules of care.

Every Bichinho is one of a kind. Name it well.
