It will not allow me to close it out without downloading it. Also, I’m wondering why my East partner does not play the highest card when given the opportunity? I often lose as a result. ### 3/5 — Very predictable *2026-01-22, version 2.4.1* I have played this game because it’s a fairly decent game. However the partner does not know how to play the joker. It’s predictable that everyone will pass and I have to bid and I have three of everything. Every time I get two jokers the bid will be 4 no trump. The adds (as previously mentioned are horrible. Temu is the WORST and the game where the King usually doesn’t get out is HORRIBLE.Finally I understand that advertising is the way to make money but some of the ads take a long long time. Please take time to algorithms so that the game is more competitive. ### 2/5 — Not fair *2025-07-28* Sometimes when the opponent bids high it won’t allow you to make the low bid, ex: bid 4, counterbid 4 low. The game says I must bid a 5. Yet when I make a high bid it allows the computer to counterbid with a low. Also the game finds a way to make me the first bidder. At time I can close out the ad, that’s no problem. But when you cannot close out the ads and you cannot play the game. I have to delete the game and download it again. Yes, your partner will made a bad bid in a second. The game itself if good. The ads are horrible as you cannot close them out and your partner makes bad bids. Based on this I am given them a two star. ### 2/5 — Good pastime but update well needed *2022-11-06, version 2.3.5* This is the best one that I’ve found as a pastime, however, I strongly suggest an update by someone with better skills/knowledge of the game itself. I suggest that you take advantage of game settings to the best of your ability. Your “ partner “ UNNECESSARILY takes the DUMBEST risks for no reason. I’ve lost sooo many “ Bostons “ simply because my “ partner “ goes back to the one suit that I clearly don’t have. ### 2/5 — Large Number of Annoying Ads *2021-12-11, version 2.3.5* Played this game off and on for a couple of years The number of adds between games have increased, particularly on IPhone. Introducing a suit not played by your partner is a definite no-no. A choice of card fonts and the ability to replay a trick is also needed. It is programmed to play the highest card in its hand even when that helps the opponent. In a “No Trump” NEVER play back to the opponent’s suit, even if it seems like a “weak” card. Here are a few things that a human partner would know to do: 1) if I have the bid and I play a middle trump, try to win the trick. Play your HIGHEST trump. I need that to get out. 2) once WE are the only players with trump, STOP playing them. 3) in a no trump hand, and I have the bud, PLAY TO WIN AND DINT OPEN ANOTHER SUIT IF YIU CANNOT WIN THE TRICK. Play back the suit I started the hand with. 4) learn to bid a hand. My partner has made 5 bids when their hand was not even close. This game could be so good but these need to be fixed. As of today, I will not play it again. I refuse to play any game that try and force me to open an ad. Today an Amazon ad appeared without any option to close. ### 1/5 — Cheaters *2021-12-10, version 2.3.5* Single game play is so very rigged...computer gets big and has every card in the suit...you get the bid and hardly ever do you get enough to make the bid...don’t even talk about the single play partner...it never plays the right card! Pretty realistic play, including signaling your partner. My only complaint is when only you and your partner have trump remaining, the computer keeps pulling trump instead of playing off. Watching the “masters” play only heightened my persistence to play and learn more. This computer version is good, however, with input from players it could be, GREAT! To many glitches, uncertainties, it’s not fair. It potentially could be the top if all the whist games I’m the store. It’s just not there yet. But I keep playing... ### 4/5 — Good Approximation of Bid Whist. *2019-05-24* I enjoy the game and I find it to be addictive. My criticism is that card play is at lightening speed and cards are swept from view immediately after the last card is played making it extremely difficult to examine who played what. My suggestion is to build in a brief pause after the 4th card of each hand or design in a way for the user to set the pace of cards played and hands removed. ### 4/5 — UPDATED and works PERFECTLY!! (BETTET) *2019-04-28* There are many holes in this game. Partner plays against the logic of the "real" game. Needs work but has potential. Either the programming doesn't work as intended or the programmer needs a clearer understanding of the nuances of the game. PLEASE, PLEASE fix this game. It could be fun and addictive if the play was more natural or logical. In the "real" game, my partner would NEVER sit on a Joker or an ace when logic dictates that it be played. And my partner would NEVER play a trump card on a book that I've won. Find an expert; consult a website. This could be my favorite. UPDATE!! The recent update to this game makes it a solid winner. Thanks to the game designers and programmers. OK, the game play is better but far from perfect. Still needs major work. Please try again. Thanks. ### 4/5 — No Trump being outbid by No Trump *2018-07-15, version 1.7.1* Please fix the issue to prevent my bid of No Trump being outbid by another No Trump. If I’m able to bid No Trump High then it can be outbid by No Trump low. However, with the current setting, if I bid No Trump, regardless of high or low, it can still be outbid by No Trump. Or just make the No Trump standard. This Game could be fantastic if it played the way the game is played in real life. Whoever is updating lacks a natural understanding of how the game is played. Very frustrating when I play a low Trump and my partner holds the Joker and doesn't play it. This goes against the rules of play. Whoever is fixing the game should sit down at the table with players who could explain what is and is not done and why, as well as the concept of making yourself two suited. Please please fix game. Also the computer bids no-trump too often. It rarely works. Better understanding of the game is needed. Update is an improvement. ### 4/5 — Soooo close to being good *2014-12-08* I like the speed of play and the embrace of real 'bid' like we played in the dorms at school many moons ago. Logic is still off a bit .. When self and partner are only holders of trump computer still pulls ... I love the ability of computer to 'skate' but not when partner is obviously looking to cover a gap like in a no trump hand. Still your game is more realistic than any others I have played.
