### 2/5 — Worst customer service ever

*2026-08-27, version 5.1.1*

So I won’t the bid on a new/like new item. I check inside the box before leaving. Everything seemed fine/complete. When I started assembling one of the boxes indeed the box was missing parts. I contacted customer service to see if I could get the parts since it was described as new/like new, and their reply was so disappointing. Not because they didn’t accommodate my request, but because neither rep included a greeting on their reply. It was so dry, cold. These ppl nowadays have no manners. I worked at a call center. I know.

### 2/5 — App constantly has issues

*2026-08-25, version 5.1.1*

The app used to work well. Now I can’t search easily tons of previously plentiful search’s come up empty. Even choosing whole categories to scan items and they show no items in that category… is it really likely that BidFTA in 2 busy locations has no items under “home & kitchen”? Doubtful.

### 2/5 — Photos

*2026-05-30, version 5.0.21*

Updates shrunk product photos in the listing. Can’t even tell what I’m looking at anymore.

### 1/5 — Terrible Update

*2026-04-20, version 5.0.17*

The “Saved Search” section will find items and organize based on the newness of the listing but it does not separate old (previously viewed) listings from newly listed items. This is not helpful because each location has different listing periods.

If you find an item based on a search, you still cannot navigate to other items in the auction from the items page.

The new interface is more compact and perhaps more visually appealing but the functionality of the app is not great. I really hope the devs change these things.

On the business side, BIDFTA is buying inferior lots and there’s a lot of shill bidding. The prices have never been so high and quality never so poor.

Private locations such as Phillips are now trying to auction at discounted retail prices with starting bids in the hundreds. If you accidentally make the first bid on an item with an inflated starting bid, customer service is not at all helpful and you just have to pay hundreds for your mistake.

This is no longer a place for resellers.

### 1/5 — Bug fixes and Performance improvements don’t make me laugh.

*2026-04-16, version 5.0.17*

When they moved to version 5 they broke functionality, and are unresponsive to helpdesk tickets or answer the question saying use the mobile web site it is better. Certain features were available prior to moving to version 5. Asked whether they were going to come back, and crickets in response.

### 2/5 — Not worth it

*2026-04-12, version 5.0.16*

I finally bid on a bunch of items and went a bit out of my way to pick them up…I have purchased from auctions throughout the years, but wasn’t sure what to expect. The warehouse was decently organized…but, it is difficult to get any questions answered since most of the workers speak Spanish and have a hard time understanding what you are saying. The reason I am giving such a poor rating is because they put things on the website mainly using stock photos and a picture of the box or open box and not the contents. Next, unless the rating says brand new…the items may be useless. You would think ‘Good Condition’ would mean just that…especially if you are use to eBay and even ShopGoodwill. I had at least 2 purchases that were marked good condition that were missing vital parts. I was mainly upset about a cordless drill that I was getting for my daughter to have at her townhouse. Keep in mind you can only check your items after you check out…which is useless because they don’t accept returns. I explained that a drill which shows all the pieces in the auction and does not mention things are missing…was basically useless and not in Good Condition since it did not have the battery, charger, nor any of the bits. She stated it was because most people will have an extra battery to attach to it! She also said I could have come to check it out prior…that is a waste of time in my opinion and do they actually allow everyone and anyone to open all the boxes to check the items out? I doubt it. Then there was an item I could not find…they marked it missing and I have yet to get refunded. I have since donated half of my items to goodwill and will never use this online auction again. I honestly think THEY need to be more transparent with the items and show exactly what you are bidding on. So, my recommendation for anyone still compelled as I was to try them out…only bid on new items

### 1/5 — They do not stand by condition

*2026-04-11, version 5.0.16*

I purchased an item listed as “new/like new”. It was a pet fountain. So, since it was listed as such, I bid $15. ASSUMING the fountain worked. The fountain did not work. So I contacted them and they said I should have tested it in the store however one needs water to test the item. So I told them this and they said oh if it’s an item that’s difficult to test such as needing water we don’t test it. So I explained to them that this is a problem because I purchased the item thinking it was new or like new since that’s how it was listed. And they told me that there was nothing they could do and that I “should not bid on items if I’m not willing to take that risk”. RIDICULOUS! Needless to say, I will not be back.

### 1/5 — SCAMMERS

*2026-04-05, version 5.0.16*

I was winning a product and with a minute left they added 24 more hours, SCAMMERS!

### 1/5 — Avoid this place.

*2026-04-01, version 5.0.16*

Shady business practices. Won’t honor the inspect good condition item if sealed in a box. Doesn’t matter if it isn’t even in the original packaging. You be better off buying your own pallet somewhere before dealing with the morons running this place.

### 2/5 — not good

*2026-03-28, version 5.0.15*

I didn’t like this app only because if you change your mind and don’t want an item anymore you quite literally have to buy it anyway(if you’re winning the bid). I changed my mind about an item and I didn’t see an option to not buy it anymore and I got charged for it and now im 40 dollars less and no item. Also, it glitches a lot.

### 1/5 — Scammers

*2026-03-28, version 5.0.15*

They falsely advertise items and once you leave the building you’re stuck with the item. Few times I bought items that were supposed to be multiple (2 or 4 pack) and only revived 1 item or the totally wrong item. The employees steal items. I seen them pick items up and walk out the side door multiple times Bad business to deal with.

### 1/5 — Won’t let me log In on the app

*2026-03-25, version 5.0.15*

I can on the browser and not the app so it’s not an issue on my end.

### 1/5 — With version 5.0.12 and newer comes disappointment

*2026-03-23, version 5.0.15*

While they say they have brought stability and an updated design, they also took features away from the saved search supported by bidfta+ less valuable, reached out to support to ask what the definition of ‘just listed’ tag meant, how long it was inplace for an item, and the support person cut and pasted a basic message: try refreshing your browser cache, reinstall your app deleting the data. They then said the equivalent ex not of use the mobile webpage as bidding works better on the webpage, it was like they never read my message. The cannot even count the number if items correctly. A search bringing back 41 items will give 24 items on the first page saying items 1-24 of 41 and the next 17 on page 2 is listed as 18-34 of 41. Their math is a little off, if they cannot do the simple stuff right after 1.5 months of notice it is messed up with 2 updates for bug fixes, and an ask about removed features with crickets in response after the canned message, I find this awful, added to the notion the app forces an upgrade of one os available before you can continue using it.

### 2/5 — “ proceed at your own risk” should be their motto

*2026-03-18, version 5.0.14*

After winning a bid, you have a certain amount of time to go and pick it up. My wife(the bidder) was hospitalized and could not make it on the particular days she was given to pick up the item. Understandably, they have their policies about when to pick up and I can understand if it were more than one or two days because of storage issues. I just thought their email back to me in response to me telling them she was hospitalized was rude. Their customer service is unbelievably lacking. Their response was… “they have heard every excuse in the book and that it is not their problem”. So.. keep that in mind everyone. With these people..”It’s just BUSINESS”is NOT a cliché with them. Also, every review you see about misrepresentation of products is 100% true. BUYER BEWARE. I’m not going to lie, I have found some pretty awesome stuff with them, but you have to be extremely vigilant, and sometimes even when you are, you get screwed without a kiss.

### 1/5 — Don’t just don’t

*2026-03-15, version 5.0.14*

Very unorganized, listing stuff like new and are broken. 3 times bought items all wrong items.

### 1/5 — Scam scam scam

*2026-03-14, version 5.0.14*

Scam scam scam

### 1/5 — “Good Condition”… Even When It’s Broken and Unusable

*2026-03-11, version 5.0.14*

I’ve used the BidFTA app for a couple of years, but the experience has gotten dramatically worse recently. Ever since new management took over, the rules keep changing — and always in ways that benefit them, not the customers.

For a long time, their policy for items labeled “Good Condition” made sense. You could purchase the item, inspect it at pickup, and return it if it turned out to be broken or not as described. That system made the auctions feel fair and manageable.

Now they’ve changed the fine print while still using the same “Good Condition” label. I’ve personally received items marked “Good Condition” that were clearly broken, missing parts, or completely mislabeled. The biggest problem is that returns are no longer an option. If you win an auction and the item is junk, you’re stuck with it.

To make matters worse, support is basically nonexistent. I’ve tried contacting them about issues and never received a response. No resolution, just an automated response with the most recent policy.

What used to be a fun way to find deals has turned into a risky gamble where buyers carry all the risk and the company takes no responsibility. After years of using the platform, I can’t recommend it anymore.

### 1/5 — Recent Update Broke App

*2026-03-11, version 5.0.14*

Edit 3/11: the saved search functionalities still do not work with the new app upgrade. It makes it not even worth being a plus member. PLEASE fix this soon!

A recent update to the mobile app completely renders it unusable. Each time you go to search for items you have to reset your location(s) now. Additionally as a BidFTA+ member, the saved searches features do not work at all anymore. Please roll back the old version of the app until the new version is at least functional.

### 2/5 — New update sucks

*2026-03-07, version 5.0.14*

The app before the update sucked and the new update sucks too. It will not save my request to notify me at all. No matter how I do it. I have lost out on so many bids. The bid amount doesn't change when bidding. With all the changes at my local store I'm looking for other bidding sights or auctions.

### 1/5 — False Advertising

*2026-02-24, version 5.0.12*

I bought this recliner that said it was “New/Like New” which means it is complete and functional according to them. I was missing 3/4’s of the entire chair. No back cushion, no arms, no legs, no stand. I emailed the support team and they had the same excuse, which was reminding me of the conditions of “New/Like New”. Don’t waste your time or money. Company is a waste of time and useless.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Total lack of support.

*2026-08-03, version 5.1.1*

If I could give 0 stars I would. Their support is no support. I have submitted 5-6 bugs to the support team, none have been fixed, the support team says to use the webpage because it works. Their major upgrade to the app 7 months ago is worthless and took away valuable functionality.

### 1/5 — Support can’t even fix a name

*2026-07-17, version 5.1.0*

I’ve reached out to support multiple times because my name is wrong even though in my profile is correct. They say they can’t even fix that. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

### 1/5 — Terrible service

*2026-07-14, version 5.1.0*

Lots of the items are literally garbage and you have to wait in long line to check out then to refund

### 1/5 — The return policy is terrible

*2026-06-12, version 5.0.22*

I purchased a bed frame from the app that was advertised to be a TWIN size bed frame i inspected the item to ensure all pieces were there and they were so i left the store and built the frame only to find out the bed frame was not a TWIN size it was a queen i also discovered a undisclosed broken frame leg that was patched to look normal. I then contacted customer support and they send me a copy of the return policy. I’m really disappointed in their customer service and the false advertising. Don’t BUY FROM HERE.

### 1/5 — Glitch and Pay

*2026-05-31, version 5.0.21*

The “well marked” according to their customer service for items charged by the qty is in fact not well marked. I saw some cards for what I thought was $4.50 when I clicked to bid the pop up that the qty was 99 and multiplied by the $4.50 I clicked no. I clicked no a couple of times and the app was froze until I guess I hit something that triggered a bid. I immediately reached out frantically because it is not my fault if a glitch or whatever it was. You can clearly see from my other bids I don’t go over $10 on anything. Rarely do I go above $5.
Go through online if you want to use them. The app has the reviews for a reason I just did not listen.

### 1/5 — App sucks

*2026-05-21, version 5.0.18*

Won items are combined into receipts which makes it very confusing when you win multiple items. There is no rhyme or reason why some items are on the same receipt and some on separate receipts. It makes it very difficult and confusing when you go to pick things up. One time I forgot something when picking up my items, and the person at checkout didn’t even mention that I forgot something. MacBid has a much smoother and concise operation.

### 1/5 — Most buggy app ever

*2026-05-20, version 5.0.18*

App crashes when I try to click on my notifications and randomly at other times. Auctions I’m bidding on seem to disappear. But they do still manage to send me advertisement notifications that I don’t care about.

### 1/5 — Don’t Do It

*2026-05-16, version 5.0.18*

This place is total rip off. I’ve bought prob 10 things and NONE have worked or missing several pieces, even when it says “like new” or “New”

### 1/5 — Bad service

*2026-05-07, version 5.0.18*

I recently bought $2,500 in products, of which there were 3 pallets and on what I "spended" the most. I say that I "spent" because they only put photos of some pallets with the supposed value of each one, but there are only many boxes with small products and folded boxes, I understand that everything has a value, but they have value from a box in good condition and things that really have value, and in my recent experience bidding in this type of auction for pallets, I do not recommend it to anyone because it is buying blindly and a waste of money, added to buying 2 TVs and the same, the photos do not show well the delicate conditions in which They come, if they still give a good image, but I think it lacks more effort in the photos they show of the products and better explanation of the state of the product!

### 1/5 — Pure greed

*2026-04-27, version 5.0.17*

Customer support is terrible. I had a death in the family and had to rush out of state, missing my pickup dates. They could not have cared less. They won’t reschedule pickup and won’t issue a refund. The response was rude and non-empathetic.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Yay for iPad update!

*2026-02-05, version 5.0.12*

Lots of people review based on their experience with BidFTA instead of the app. This app is great though, always works well for me and now I’m excited to have it fit my iPad!

### 5/5 — Very dependable

*2025-12-01, version 4.33*

There was an issue with processing a bid and thy solved it after I emailed them. For someone like me BidFTA is a place to afford what I generally can’t currently.

### 5/5 — First Time Bidder- Lifetime Customer

*2025-09-20, version 4.31*

I did my first bid. The app is easy to navigate. And bidding went smoothly.

I was super excited to get my item, and drove 1.5hrs to the location the next day to pick up my item. Only to find out they don’t do pickup until the weekend. :(
They were so nice and helped me out anyways. When I looked at the item, it had more damage than listed, and offered me a replacement.
They really went out of their way to get me an item similar to what I purchased.
10 out of 10 experience

### 5/5 — I am happy woth this app

*2025-08-11, version 4.26*

Im happy with this app. I won so many times expensive items for cheap

### 5/5 — BidFTA Is Awesome!

*2025-08-07, version 4.24*

I can’t tell you how much money I have saved being a BidFTA customer. The deals offered in an auction setting are fantastic and fun to boot! I have never been disappointed in a purchase unless I didn’t read the entire description - and that’s on me. I love the app even with the glitches it had - hopefully this update will fix the stalls and loading issues. Great place to buy things you normally might not buy at a terrific price!

### 5/5 — Great app and love BIDFTA!!!

*2024-03-06*

My mom and myself have bid on multiple items and won them. This is amazing especially for the products you can win. It does take some time and you need to pay attention to the bid times to be able to win items. Everything we have received has been brand new (“good condition” or “appears new”) and we have been able to get some great deals. I’m currently pregnant with my first so we have been able to get a lot of the items needed for a very discounted price. $16 for a bassinet, $35 for a crib, $15 for a crib mattress, $10 for a play pen, $30 for a baby swing. They have everything you will need!!! Overall, myself and my mom and many of my friends/co workers use BIDFTA and have no complaints. I would recommend staying away from the open box items if you’re wanting basically brand new items. Sometimes the open box can be missing parts to the items. But not always. It just depends on what the item is. Love BIDFTA!!

### 5/5 — BidFTA Associates at Riverport.

*2024-03-01*

I would like to thank Leah, Pauline, Ashley, Slim, and Matthew for always being so helpful and friendly. They always have positive attitudes and are willing to help when you are having difficulty finding an item. The guys there are always willing to help load heavy items also.
Thanks again!

Neisha Whitmer

### 5/5 — Good experience

*2023-02-09, version 2.48*

So I’ve seen bad reviews about damaged goods for items listed open box. In my experience I’ve only bought items listed as brand new or appears new and they are in great condition and I loved the products I’ve gotten.

### 5/5 — Search bar

*2022-12-04, version 2.37*

Love search bar but I usually can’t view the pages after page 1!

### 5/5 — The app vs the facilities

*2022-12-02, version 2.37*

I love the app my only issue is that at certain facility what they post for you to bid on sometimes isn’t what you get and personally I don’t like Chantry Dr location the manager is rude and very unprofessional.
