The extremely low power consumption is appreciated since I use solar panels and two batteries to power my house. The app is intuitive and easy to use. Their minimalist style suited me just fine. For the do-it-your selfers they made it immensely easy to install. They cost a little more but they’re worth it. I’ve one little problem. I used the app to link the fan to my HVAC. The function doesn’t work. The app doesn’t sync well, so the light turns on and off but the app just bounces back to off (even if the light stays on). It’s constantly telling me it can’t find my fan (internet doesn’t change). If the light goes higher than 70% it emits this terrible screeching sound (out of warranty because the previous owners bought it, tough luck). They say it’s a known issue and they’re “working on it.” Very frustrated that the main reason we got this fan was for that feature and it’s been busted for months. Form not working on submit. Haiku fan is now deciding to start on its own now and only way to prevent it is to take out batteries from controller. Not only is the new UI really unintuitive, it’s just really buggy. Since “upgrading” my light now randomly turns on in the middle of the night if I turn in my bed. I’ve tried every way I can’t think of to make it stop. I’ve tried making schedules. I’ve tried manually turning it off. I’ve tried turning it off manually at the wall control and nothing works. It just keeps waking me up in the middle of the night randomly. The old app worked great for years. Make it so you can swipe from one room to the next. Or better yet just put them all on the same screen or something you have to click out of each room to get into the other room and then click or swipe from light to fan speed.
