### 5/5 — Highly recommended for all dads.

*2020-09-05*

My Wife and I are expecting our second child. I really liked the free version but my curiosity got the better of me so I paid for the full version.

Let me tell you, that I wish I had all of that information the first time. The very first time I heard the term pre-eclampsia was the day my wife was admitted to the hospital at 29 weeks. Everything this app has to offer is pure gold.

Great app for first time dads.

### 5/5 — Really useful to first time Dad

A really helpful and informative app that provided a lot of information in a very clear to understand way. Would highly recommend to all expecting Dad’s.

### 5/5 — Funny and reassuring app

Helpful content. Presented in a lighthearted way

### 5/5 — Great for dads

*2019-12-26*

Overall this app was great for me as a new dad to be! It was fun to see the different analogies they and looked forward to the weekly updates with the wife! Would definitely recommend. My one suggestion would be to add a sharing function so I can share the weekly updates with my wife.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the great feedback and congratulations on joining the dad club! We completely agree with you - a sharing feature is on the way.

Thanks for taking the time to review our app and best wishes for the adventures ahead.

### 4/5 — Lots of fun

*2019-05-22*

I love this concept, and the analogies for how big the baby is week-to-week are tons of fun for both me and my wife. Loving how it helps me stay more connected to my child’s progress.

What would I change?
• Add a share action to the main “your baby is the size of...” screen
• Option to change weights and measures from metric to standard

**Developer response:** Congratulations on your future baby and thank you for leaving this feedback for us! We’re so glad you’re enjoying the app and hope its giving you some useful information.

The two suggestions you’ve made are both great ideas and are exactly the sort of thing that we are hoping to introduce in the near future. We will keep you posted!

Thanks again and best of luck for the exciting times ahead!

Brilliantly thought out. Great idea and keeping us informed of what to expect. Well worth it!

### 5/5 — Best tracker

Having used lots of pregnancy tracers and guides throughout the last few months I have to say this is the best I have come across... very user friendly and informative and nice to have one for the guys!! My wife also looks at it each week!!

### 5/5 — A little gem

Full of fun facts and helpful advice for an exciting time. Referenced and accurate information easy to reach. Strongly recommended for new dads (and mums!)

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No features

*2022-06-28*

Gotta pay money to do anything with the app

**Developer response:** We’re sorry that you didn’t feel that the free app has sufficient content. In the free version, you have ad-free access to the full, personalized 40 weeks of development updates, baby size comparisons, updates on how your partner is doing, and some free articles. If you choose to upgrade, it is a one-off lifetime purchase for a low cost, to give you access to the rest of our exclusive articles and pregnancy tools such as the contraction timer.

If there are any specific features or articles that you feel should be included with the free version then please do get in touch with us on info@thebigdaddyapp.com, as we’re always open to feedback.

### 1/5 — Oversimplified and missing key information

*2020-08-14*

I was excited about an app that geared to men. However very early on I noticed that almost all of the features are locked and an upgrade is required. The other apps that I use has this information for free. The second is the poor information for early pregnancy weeks 0-4. The free basic passages lump all of these together as the time it takes the sperm and egg to meet! Wow so much more cool and critical thinkings happens In Early stage pregnancy that other apps go into a lot of details about what is happening to baby and mom. Ill just stick to reading the “women “ apps to make sure I understand what is going on with my partner.

### 1/5 — Hard to use

*2019-05-24*

It’s taken me quite a while to figure out the logistics of this app. If there’s any way to enter the gender of the child, I haven’t figured it out yet. What kind of pregnancy app won’t allow entering the gender?

**Developer response:** Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We definitely agree that being able to put your baby’s gender in is a great idea, and this feature is coming very soon so watch this space!

We’re sorry that you found the app hard to use. We’ve had lots of users telling us that they found the app intuitive, so it’d be really great if you’d drop us a line on info@thebigdaddyapp.com to give us a bit more detail about what it is that you didn’t find clear so that we can make some improvements!

Thanks again and good luck in the months ahead!

### 1/5 — Crashed upon opening.

*2019-04-23*

Not a lot to review.

**Developer response:** We're so sorry you've had problems with the app crashing. We've had very few reports of crashes and so it would be so useful if you could email us (info@thebigdaddyapp.com) to give us some more details, so that we can work out what is going wrong - we really want to get you up and running as we're sure you'll love the app when you can open it!

### 2/5 — Money grabbing

*2020-02-18*

Have to up grade for ANYTHING!

**Developer response:** We’re sorry that you felt the app isn’t good value. In the free version, you have ad-free access to the full 40 weeks of development updates, baby size comparisons, updates on how your partner is doing, and some free articles. If you choose to upgrade, it is a one-off lifetime purchase for just £1.99, to give you access to the rest of our exclusive articles and pregnancy tools such as the contraction timer.

If there are any specific features or articles that you feel should be included with the free version then please do get in touch with us on info@thebigdaddyapp.com, as we’re always open to feedback.

### 2/5 — A good idea, wasted.

*2019-04-22*

This is a really cool idea for new Dad’s and does contain lots of useful info, however the size comparison objects are just plain odd and inaccurate. Daily notifications of interesting info would be a nice touch, but so far nothing.

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to leave us feedback. We're so glad that you like the idea and have found the info useful - we're always happy to hear about dads getting involved in their partner's pregnancy!

We're sorry you didn't like some of the size comparisons. We've thought hard about items that are relatable and fun, but we also have lots of ideas in store, so we will take your feedback on board for the next update. Our size measurements are based on reliable sources and it's our top priority to make sure that everything is completely accurate - so please do let us know if there were any specific items that you thought were inaccurate (info@thebigdaddyapp.com).

Thanks again and good luck in the exciting months ahead!

### 3/5 — Helpful information, but really passive aggressive comments

*2023-07-14*

The information given is definitely helpful and definitely will help out some dads who need it. But, some of the comments made about the moms-to-be are simply unnecessary and passive aggressive.

Week 25: “your partner might notice that her hands and feet are getting a little swollen lately. This is very common in pregnancy . . . Don’t tell her she’s looking less like a human and more like a balloon animal.”

I get that it’s trying to be funny, but does the creator of this app think all men are idiots and would actually need someone to tell them to not insult their wife/partner? I don’t understand why that’s necessary.

### 3/5 — Hyperemesis gravidarum

*2022-08-24*

It saddens me to see all this app offers but nothing on Hyperemesis gravidarum my wife has this incurable disease that has many asking once I tell them she is HG they ask what is it? There are a good few women who have this and it’s not talked about enough to educate people on the topic, it’s a very scary and life threatening disease to the mother and baby and I hope to see in the future more talk about this and ways to help these women who suffer through it if they even can make it through it without termination or death to the baby or mother everyday I wake up knowing I could lose one or both and all I can do is watch her suffer and i sit Idlelea by her it’s a pain I suffer knowing there’s nothing I can do to help so I hope in this review something can help change the topic of HG till then i will still be an advocate for those women in hopes of change and talk

### 4/5 — Amazing App

*2026-04-15*

Love this app, now using it for the second time! However, the formatting in the articles seems to have gone a little awry in the latest couple of versions compared to when I used it a couple of years ago.

**Developer response:** Hi - congratulations on Bump 2!

So glad that you love the app. If you could possibly email us on info@thebigdaddyapp.com with some more information about the formatting issue that would be amazing, so that we can get it fixed. Thanks!

### 4/5 — Super Helpful App - First Time Dad

*2023-02-03*

Love the app so far, it’s very insightful and the objects used to compare measurements crack me up! I do wish there was an option to convert the measurements for those of us who don’t use the metric system within the app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Life’s surprises

*2024-10-29*

What to expect when expecting. It greats facts and up to date info. Easy to use and to the point.

### 5/5 — Stellar

*2023-12-11*

Love this app. Very informative. Used it for my first kid.

### 5/5 — It’s great

*2023-01-04*

I’m only using the free version so I don’t have access to the contraction counter, hospital bag, baby checklist etc.. however this app is amazing for providing updates weekly of how baby is growing and how the Mrs is going to be feeling. It’s been really helpful to understand what is normal and what to expect as it’s all mostly explained to the mother during the midwife/doctor meetings.

It also put things into easy ways to understand, for example, this week (29 weeks) he is the weight of a tomahawk steak, so now when the Mrs is complaining of her bump being heavy, I can get one of these on the BBQ and really relate to what she is feeling! 😂

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for your great review. There's definitely loads that you can get out of the app whether you use the free version or if you upgrade. Enjoy that steak!

### 5/5 — Big Daddy App

*2022-10-27*

It was a lot of fun to read the little articles and reminders every week. The way it encouraged me and my wife was awesome. Got some laughs out of the different comparisons it did through out the pregnancy! Recommend for any man 10/10

### 5/5 — Babies are for the Boys!

*2022-08-31*

Love this app. Helps me understand what’s going on with the Mrs and my baby. I read everything and read it to my wife too. Love all the info.

### 5/5 — This app is so cute!

*2022-06-01*

My daughter’s and her super sweet hubby are having their first! My SIL told me about this app so I checked it out! It’s so helpful and sweet with suggestions to keep mom happy, information about what’s going on in mom’s body, how big the baby is, how mom might be feeling and how yo comfort her. It’s super sweet !

### 5/5 — ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT

*2022-05-11*

What a fantastic app! We’re currently at 38 weeks and I got this at 2 weeks. It’s been a life saver in so many ways. The weekly descriptions are bang on. The checklists are really in depth and easy to use. The contraction counter is great! We haven’t officially used that yet, but it’s really simple and accurate. Can’t recommend this app enough. Every Dad, GET IT!

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2022-03-09*

As a first time dad (end of the year ☺️) this is the best app I have found with all the information needed and easy to read!! I would really recommend this!!

(Never normally review but this was needed)

### 5/5 — Third Time Around

*2021-07-09*

This is my third child and I’ve used this app every single time. It’s so much great information in this app, and it got jokes 😂😂😂

But most definitely keeps you up to date on what’s going on with you child and the mother, so as a father you are prepared for what’s going on with baby and your wife.

It’s great.

### 5/5 — 40 weeks of awesome!!!

*2020-10-19*

Designed for to-be-dads this app is a great way to give us the right amount of info on a way we can relate. More importantly, it gives you content you can share with your wife to show you are involved and engaged in what’s happening to her.
