Although you can barely use this app for the function you need with an ads popping up with no close options sometimes, and leading right to scam unsecure websites… I tried to get just login and goto my rewards at check out got hit by 5 different ads leading elsewhere and never even got to rewards section leading me to shutdown it down. Use the browser website till they ever remove ads. ### 1/5 — Too many unnecessary ads!! *2023-02-22, version 1.0* I downloaded this app thinking that it would be a better experience then the actual website; well I was wrong! After I downloaded the app there were several ads for different businesses that kept popping up which became annoying! I’ve never seen this before with a large company that has multiple locations throughout the country. So unprofessional and needs to be addressed as the ads interrupted my shopping experience. Due to this I immediately deleted the app! Do better Big Lots!! ### 1/5 — Worst app ever *2023-02-18, version 1.0* I literally just downloaded the app 5 minutes ago, signed into my account, and within 2 minutes of being logged in and trying to browse, 4 ads have already been thrown at me. And the ads are in different foreign languages and theres no big red X to indicate how to get out of the stupid ad. 2 minutes of being on the app is all it took for me to uninstall it. For a legit company like this to put ads alone is ridiculous, but to get stuck in 4 different foreign ads in less than 2 minutes?? This isnt candy crush. This isnt some app for a free game. Its a platform for customers to be able to browse and purchase your products. There should be no ads AT ALL. Even Walmart's app doesnt have ads. Get it together. ### 1/5 — Latest update makes app unusable *2023-02-14, version 1.0* This app used to be a great way to look for items and check for stock in the local store. After the latest update, there are ads galore. Every time you press anything, a new pop up ad appears. It now takes multiple click throughs to just get to a product description. And why would a stores app have pop up ads for their competitors? ### 1/5 — I’ve never written an app review until today *2023-02-03, version 1.0* I’ve never downloaded an app for a retail store that has un-skipable ADS EVERY 30-45 SECONDS. It makes the app itself unusable and quite literally dissuades potential customers from using the app to purchase and from shopping in store as well. Whoever thought the ad revenue would be worth the amount of profit lost due to people deleting the app before completing a purchase should reconsider their career choice. ### 2/5 — Too many ads!! *2023-02-04, version 1.0* I like having an app to look at what is on sale or what new surprises Big Lots has, however, there are pop up ads every few minutes. The stores close to me in ABQ, NM is setting itself up to compete with Target. The product upgrades, the set up of the store I’m loving it. I am confused with the app… why are there pop up commercials like I’m playing a game? The ads aren’t even for the store! Waiting for my cart to load three different ads came up and it just delayed my cart from loading. It’s bizarre and not common on other store apps that I have loaded.
