I love the choice in colors, but I typically use the red, love the option to use “seconds” features and when I’m not using it as a clock (typically used at bedtime), I frequently use both additional features of stop watch and timers. Offers both, standard and military time formats. My hubby wants the same app but he has Android! Would love it if developers could make for Android users. My hubby doesn’t see well and gets up frequently thru the night and is dependent on my clock. I tried buying “just a clock” in stores and on Amazon, but have not found a decent product that even comes close to this app! ### 5/5 — THE BEST CLOCK *2021-02-22* Every night I turn this app on, rotate my iPhone XR to landscape, and put it on a wireless charging stand. The big numbers are perfect for my aging eyes to see with my glasses off. The app can be switched so your numbers are various colors. The brightness level is easily adjustable so it doesn’t illuminate the whole room. My alarm comes through and is easily switched off. They look a bit like matchsticks placed close together, I think they could and should look better. Its soft glow also made a great night light. I liked having the choice of three colors as well. I’ve been using it in my classroom for years. The new version sound is not good, timer is harder to use, and buttons are unlabeled and unnecessary. Please bring back the old one! **Developer response:** Thank you for being an educator, and for the detailed feedback — it's genuinely helpful. Better audio options for the timer and clearer button design are both things I'm actively working on based on feedback like this. In the meantime, there's still a lot the new version offers for the classroom: "Time Zone Assistant" and "Learn 24 Time" help with teaching global time concepts, and "Multi-Stopwatch" is useful for friendly competitions.  Andrew — Independent Developer ### 1/5 — New version is terrible *2026-08-21* This was my go to big screen clock app for years. The updated version sucks! The numbers don’t fill the screen and the new fonts are useless. I deleted it. Sad **Developer response:** Hi there, sorry you're frustrated with the update. In landscape orientation the numbers should fill the screen. If they're not, it's likely your device has portrait orientation locked (check Control Center — the icon turns red when locked).  Andrew — Independent Developer ### 1/5 — Stops updating on M1 *2022-04-10* I love the app, and it works great on my Intel MacBook Pro. But on my M1 Mini it stops updating. Quitting and restarting gets it working again. I don't see a support contact so I'm posting here ### 3/5 — Medium Red Clock *2026-08-27* From my perspective, the clock was perfect the way it was. With a recent upgrade, the clock became smaller and thicker. I prefer the bigger original font. ### 4/5 — Works for me *2026-03-30* Give me a Clock that's easy to read as I am disabled in the menu by a clog seems pretty tiny and I don't want to have to open the Clock app just to find out what time it is. Recommended. ### 4/5 — Almost there... *2025-01-29* I would rate this five starts as it is perfect my my uses if the developer could update it to include a setting do disable the audible alarm of the countdown clock. I use this for Zoom presentations and it's incredibly loud and disctractiing when I'm speaking and the timer hits zero and the arlam sonds, and keeps looping until you act on it. I use the tiomer onscreen so I can see it at all times and I don't need the audio reminder. ### 4/5 — Pretty Good *2023-11-11* Like the big clock style. For what its worth, if it could somehow be modified to include optional set rotation of the clock to have your phone standing normal and use it, that would be perfect for my needs and would be the best 5/5 star clock. ### 4/5 — No alarm *2023-07-20* I got this because a reviewer said it had an alarm. Allow for a single audible notification for timer, not repeating. 2. Allow a minus sign instead of clearing the timer ### 4/5 — Love it but needs to add seconds *2020-01-23* I work in Transportation and I love this clock with its easy to see big numbers, I can easily glance at it and get the time for my time points. The only thing it’s missing is the seconds, I would have liked this to be an option. Knowing the exact seconds would help a lot for many applications including time checks. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great tool for Zoom meetings *2026-08-25* I use and recommend Big Red Clock as a tool when hosting online meetings. It is a discrete way of keeping track of time without appearing distracted or showing loss of focus. As a therapist, I can manage my appointments more easily without the need to check a watch of nearby clock. My family too. The clock is nice and big on the screen, especially on iPhones that do not have a home button. I like the different colors. I like that. The compact mode is an additional feature that floats the clock on top of all other windows. It is perhaps not the most elegant app, but does all three jobs really well without overengineering.
