WHAT IS BIGFOOT UNITY?
 
Bigfoot Unity is an entirely new, simple program designed to holistically manage diabetes for people who take multiple daily injections of insulin. The Bigfoot Unity app is an essential component of the connected diabetes management system that serves as your real-time, always-there partner. You’ll always be supported when you ask, “How much insulin should I dose right now?” 
 
HOW DOES IT WORK?
 
After initial set up and syncing, the Bigfoot Unity Diabetes Management System (Bigfoot Unity App, Bigfoot Unity pen caps, FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor, Bigfoot blood glucose meter) delivers glucose values and your clinician's prescribed dosing recommendations right on the pen caps.
 
The black pen cap for your long-acting insulin pen displays the insulin dose that has been established by your clinician as well as the time you took your last dose.
 
The white pen cap for your rapid-acting insulin pen displays glucose data from your FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor and translates it into recommended insulin doses for corrections and meals based upon your clinician's settings.

The Bigfoot Unity App works with the connected components to alert you that your glucose is low or that you may have missed a dose. The app also displays up to 48 hours of glucose and dosing history. Finally, the data is securely and privately captured in the cloud, so your clinician can access the information and use it to help support you in managing your diabetes.
