Not worth paying from pro. ### 2/5 — App is buggy of late *2025-12-10, version 16.61* I’m a paying customer and the app is unacceptable at present. My folders don’t stay sorted. Sometimes they are alphabetized, sometimes not. Even back and forth. Totally random. I cannot always edit my recipes. When adding a new recipe in the app—your own, or from outside Big Oven—it kicks you to the website within the app. Trying to use the web-based tool from within the app involves pinching, zooming, difficulties highlighting text… As the app is essential on mobile—and as it’s a far weaker experience than the desktop version—I can no longer positively rate Big Oven. ### 5/5 — Useful, stable, great UI *2025-11-21, version 16.59* I use BigOven for my entire recipe library. There are so many recipes that point outside the app. Many to questionable websites that my Norton thankfully warns me about. Additionally, so many of the links are broken. Surely you can program a bot to crawl the older recipes and check for malicious links and broken links? (And check for people just reposting the same Food network recipe over and over). It’s also not the apps fault but so many of the recipes are cooking instructions not recipes at all (eg take a can of spaghetti sauce, brown your ground beef and pour over pasta). My old feedback didn’t result in any changes so I don’t expect this to either. It’s too bad. Was not very intuitive to figure out how to use, many in-app links didn’t work. The most useful feature is the recipe scan and I have to pay per scanned recipe? It was pretty straightforward. I would find a recipe that looked good, look through it, and do this for several recipes to find the best one. Now, when I try to find a recipe, I click on the picture and it brings up so many ads I can’t see anything on my phone screen. When I try to click next, it just sends me to someone’s website, and it’s almost impossible to find the cooking instructions.
