This means I don’t even need the conversion chart from using my tape measure to match a gear’s design to the roller it will be attached to. PERFECT! At least for 2D CAD users. I don’t need 3D for mechanical drawings as long as I can produce multiple side views. YES!!!! After I finish designing a project to improve my job at the steel castings foundry, I’m going to recommend this to my supervisor! Thank you AGAIN!!!! 👍👍👍😊😊😊 My first review with four stars: It seems more intuitive than AutoCAD, and I’m pleased to see it doesn’t require any “subscription.” The price must be a one-time transaction, because I don’t see it at all in my app subscriptions! I’m going to save more money that way! 😊 Also, AutoCAD seems to have had NO option for ellipses, and I had difficulty with dimensions adjusting from a zoomed-out window, to much smaller measurements. This biiCADo app adjusts to that in real time as I zoom in and out, or at least when apply the dimension measurement. I had hoped this would be a reasonable substitute for the wonderful old AutoCAD r12 ... but every time I try to use it, I struggle with the Layer settings, the Grid settings, or some other idiosyncrasy. So near ... but so far away !! . . [ original review ] This appears to be a very fine implementation of 2D CAD, and feels comfortably familiar to one who learned to draw on early versions of Autocad. ... Draws great but you can’t access the iOS 13 file app so that is a draw back. Also I can’t open a file emailed to me, I can email a file I make but can’t open one. Shows how to but the steps doesn’t work on my iPad Pro.. hope this is addressed soon... ### 4/5 — What's happened to Google Drive / Dropbox access? *2019-08-19* This has been an excellent CAD drawing app for the iPad. The functionality is about the same as AutoCAD LT and the developers have done well to make a touch interface actually work. However, the latest update seems to have killed Google Drive and Dropbox accessibility, which is a huge problem. This needs an urgent fix. ### 4/5 — Good *2018-04-28* Best I have found for drawing engineering parts etc on an iPad. ### 3/5 — Extension lines *2018-02-27, version 3.1.3* The extension lines don,t work properly all the time. You cannot switch from horizontal to vertical back and forth, because after about a couple successes in switching, it keeps on defaulting to horizontal lines. That being said, I gave it a one star yesterday, because of the frustration with the extension lines. However I just draw regular lines in place of using extension lines ect... In truth I change this to a four star review, because I have not found a better ipad app, to take the place of my turbocad on my computer, then this app. With this app I have drawn up very accurate projects that with the accuracy of the snap features, allowed me to machine parts to use this as I would my computer cad program to design parts that allowed me to machine to thousandth of an inch accuracy. So far the best cad app for ipad I have found. ### 2/5 — Still needs better updates *2018-01-31, version 3.1.3* App has degraded after time. Line weights inconsistent, measurements set for architectural inches/feet show in decimals. Now the app is frustrating to use even when having years of Autocad experience. Sadly I'm disappointed with this one. It has loads of whistle and bells but the basics for me are disappointing. Will carry on with another app I've found that is nearly there for me. Non intuitive interface, no easy way to change move scale or manipulate vectors, no snaps. Shifts to another menu for a Command Edit, but no easy way to select elements. Awful. I did manage to create the drawing I needed but it was hard work. I did not find the tools intuitive to use.
