After that the app stopped working, when I open the app to start a ride it freezes and won’t work. I tried deleting all my saved rides but that didn’t help. Would love to find out why it stopped working since it takes time to calibrate these GPS tracking apps. Update, deleted the app when the devs stopped emailing me then they email me after 6 months asking to up my rating to 5 stars. Don’t use this app for long rides and definitely don’t pay for it. Use something else. ### 4/5 — Great app *2026-05-19, version 3.2* Have used this for every ride for several years. Works great except for the elevation gain reported. How is this calculated?!! Used it to get ready for the ARMY. But now they are requiring a paid subscription. I chose this as it was free and didn’t require a bunch of my information to sign up. However, now that it’s paid subscription, I will just pay for a better app with less glitches/inaccurate data. Not a wise move to offer a scaled-down app as freeware, and then require payment as there are better options out there. ### 1/5 — Took Away Free Version *2026-06-28, version 3.2* I used to us the app daily on my bike commutes, it DID work great. Then as others have commented, I open it one day to a paywall, no indication they were getting rid of the free version either. Also the few trips I had saved are now gone as again, they are locked behind a paywall. Can’t even “download” them. Thanks for that. Map, distance, mph, etc very accurate. Lately it doesn’t, or completely stops recording, after approx 1/4 mile. I have been using Bike GPS for nearly three years and I have had almost zero frustrations with it. It is a simple, streamlined, almost effortless app that does exactly what you want it to and has very little bloat or pointless “features” that bog it down. This is my essential app for tracking my rides.
