Collect statistics about your ride quality and use them to make suspension adjustments for a softer ride. Compare two different bikes for ride quality. Avoid buying or renting a rusty rattle bucket.

So you just spent big money on aftermarket suspension. It has a number of knobs you can turn, but you don't really know what they do. The manufacturer provides a few lines of instructions along the lines of "turn left for softer ride". You saw the online videos, but still don't know what is the exact combination of parameters you need.
