The only way I have been able to see the birds is by viewing it live and hoping some show up. Cannot get in touch with support, and as others have said an “update firmware” pops up every few seconds despite the app saying it’s up to date ### 1/5 — Great Setup Bad App *2025-12-28* The hardware setup seems great as far as the camera and quality along with the construction of the feeder. The app is not good. There are misspelled words and full screen viewing does not always work. I constantly get a pop up for firmware but it is already up to date. ### 1/5 — Terribly disappointed *2025-12-17, version 1.0.6* I’ve had this camera birdfeeder for just a few days. I absolutely love the camera and the photo quality and video quality are great. The problem that I have is the app itself. Any videos that I get I cannot share. I cannot upload. I cannot move to a bird folder. It always says upload failed. I have updated the app. I have reset the camera. I have done everything I have tried to contact customer support. It just says timeout. I’ve been trying to get this to work for a month and a half. Tech Support keeps saying they’re coming out with a new version of the app, but it STILL does not work. It will finally record videos, but it will NOT play them back. The app continually says to upgrade firmware but when I clink on the prompt the pop up says firmware already updated. I get no alerts of birds at my feeder. I have another one that has a far superior app and notifies me in real time when a bird is present. Very easy to put together and fill. Zero issues with the really useful app. The pictures they record are great, and they identify the birds, so we are learning all about them. ### 3/5 — Request Timeout *2026-05-08, version 1.1.0* I can view the live feed, and I get notifications when a bird is feeding. I can then record to my photos. But, when I try to view a recorded event, I consistently get a “Request Timeout”. However, once in a while, I can view an event. The view does not always rotate to landscape. When it does, part of the image is cut off. You can see the Bilantan watermark is off screen. I still use the other app and enjoy the feeder. I am notified of events when a bird is feeding, and can open the app and record the activity. This video is then stored in my photo album. Here are the few issues I have with the app: I am unable to view the live video in full screen. It appears for just a second and then goes back to the preview. The same thing happens when I go to view videos that have been taken of birds showing up to the feeder. A similar thing happens when I go to download a video it pops up for a second and then stops.
