Why is this a selling feature when it doesn’t work ### 4/5 — Nice features, app recommended *2025-03-11, version 8.1* The app is key to quickly setting up new user passwords and monitoring the battery level. Missing from the app and device is the ability to set up multiple user codes (admin is the only code used). Suggest naming fingerprints to revoke them as needed, the length is quite short so get creative. ### 4/5 — Open the safe first!!! *2025-01-25, version 8.1* I don’t know if this will help anyone else, but I fought and fought with the app. It kept asking for the Bluetooth connection password. Once I opened the safe manually and had the lid open, then it connected over Bluetooth and I could get to all the admin functions of the safe. The app didn’t like my master password. I let the app use the administrator fingerprint and then reset the master password through the app (to the same thing). I don’t want to look back at the unlock history and be like “ah yeah looks like the little guy got into it yesterday…” ### 1/5 — Safe is great, but the app presents security issues *2024-07-22, version 8.1* I love the safe, but am deleting the app, because there is no facial recognition or anything to get into the app and the only function is to unlock the safe and add passwords. My phone code should not be the only line of defense for keeping people out of an app that holds important items. This app would be better if it did the following: - Log times when the safe has been unlocked, tampered with, or settings were changed - Facial recognition before allowing access to the app ### 2/5 — MEH app *2024-04-15* Basic app. Certainly nothing special but at least you can see battery level and open safe. Good grief. What I don't understand are the people complaining that you can't close the safe with the app. LOL. I'm not a mechanical genius or anything but think it through people. Understand that the functionality has to exist in the device for an app to be able to do something. How many safes out there can close themselves? Seriously, I'm asking? Programming this feature in the app would probably be easy. Changing the innards of the safe to close I'll bet not so much and you'd probably pay double what you're paying for the safe right now. If my daughter gets my wife or my phone and opens the app she unlock the safe by swiping right?! That is nonsense. This has such great promise but even after reading the entire manual so we didn’t have the issues too many reviewers had, the app is awful. If this child was looking for another game and opened this app, then there is a possibility of opening the safe especially if they are within range of hearing the safe open. THERE IS NO PASSWORD REQUIRED ONCE THE PHONE IS UNLOCKED. WORST CASE, MY CHILD COULD OPEN THE APP ON ACCIDENT AND HEAR THE SAFE WHEN IT OPENS. This app missed the most likely scenario for accidental firing of these weapons. A child is significantly more likely to open this safe than a burglar any day of the week. Add additional access verification within the app before a child accidentally blows their face off. Please let me know when this app is updated and I will change my rating. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App Does Not Find Safe *2026-06-03, version 8.92* When I first set up the safe, app works, connects fine, password setup was easy. Later, the app kept asking for admin password repeatedly after entering correctly, would not connect. Now, app does not even find the safe. Please fix ASAP. ### 1/5 — Bluetooth functionality is horrible…fix this. *2026-05-23, version 8.92* The Bluetooth functionality of the app, it’s only real functionality, is defective. The BLE connections works for a while, then starts asking for the password, fails, then eventually disappears from the available Bluetooth list. The only way to fix, is to do a full reset of the entire system. This makes the app. “Useless”. ALL sensitive apps use facial recognition to unlock. But the app is just terrible. Can’t connect to the safe at all, as a matter of fact, the safe doesn’t even come up when searching for a device anymore. Maybe Bill will release a WiFi version that can send updates in the future. There are also QR codes for set up. I did see numerous complaints about app being too easy to open. There is a “connection password switch box at bottom of settings screen. Make sure this is checked and a passcode will be required to open the app. Typically admin passcode but you can have a special passcode just for the app. ### 5/5 — Works as expected and as advertised *2024-08-26, version 8.1* Able to set key code and fingerprint locks perfectly. App works great. Intuitive. Instructions are a bonus. Can see the history in the app. The review about unable to lock remotely is an idiot. The open position springs the door open. There is no mechanism to close the door remotely. Need a power door, not a spring door for a remote lock. A poor review was unwarranted.
