### 3/5 — Multiple Reminders

*2025-12-08*

The app is pretty good overall. I’d like to be able to be able to set up reminders for a week, a few days, & the day of. Unfortunately the app only allows you set one reminder. I’ve reached out to the developer about this multiple times but have received no response — which is also concerning. Are updates on this app a thing? What does the subscription pay for?

### 3/5 — I’m out… sadly.

*2025-09-27*

My generous trial is up and I appreciate the longer time to try out BillOut and its features. However for me, BillOut must have the ability to mark a bill paid in advance of the due date. I often pay my bills early via bill pay and I like to show them paid on the date the bank pays them in the future. BillOut will only let you mark a bill paid at the current date or before. No other bill tracker app that I’m aware of is crippled like this. No iOS 26 update either. Maybe someday I’ll check BillOut again, but for now it’s a pass.

### 4/5 — Great. Just two things…

*2025-09-26*

The app looks nice and does the job well. There’s just one thing I wish it had and one thing I don’t understand.

I really wish I could attach a copy of the bill. I need to go find the email without this capability.

The thing I don’t understand is the start and end date for a bill? The bill comes, it has a due date. What’s a start and end date?

Otherwise it’s great. Customisable options for repeat, alerts etc, made for Australia. Insights is nice.

Nice app. Cheers.

**Developer response:** Hi Brock, thanks for the review and the suggestion. Regarding the start and end dates, imagine having an Afterpay bill with 4 instalments. It helps to add a start and end date so you can easily track how many are left. (e.g: 2 of 4) 😀 Enjoy BillOut!

### 4/5 — Almost there.

*2025-09-16*

Great app, however BillOut must have the ability to mark a bill paid in advance of the due date, in addition to a few smaller needed updates. Hopefully the dev continues to improve the app. Couple of weeks to go on my trial, before deciding to fully purchase.

### 4/5 — Icon or Brand Logo Not Showing

*2025-09-16, version 3.4.1*

I find the icons and brand logo helpful in tracking my bills but it seems we have an issue with it since it doesn’t show anymore. Please fix.

### 4/5 — Excellent

*2025-08-27, version 3.4.1*

Great app, it does what I need, monitors bills and reminds me to pay. Lots of options and easy to use! Thanks!

### 5/5 — Free is 7 bills only but it worth the upgrade. Excellent app.

*2025-08-03*

Full featured and well worth it

**Developer response:** Thanks for using BillOut! I'm sorry you were disappointed by the payment option. As BillOut is my side project, the fee helps keep the app running smoothly and allows me to keep improving it with new features. I appreciate your understanding.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2025-07-15*

Finally found an app that gives me all the options I need. I can see how much I need to spend weekly and can also see different bills that are due different weeks. That is just amazing 👌🏽

**Developer response:** This is great to hear! Making your financial management easier is exactly why I built this app. Thanks for the nice feedback! 😀

### 5/5 — Simple without too many bells and whistles!!!

*2025-04-21*

Hello. Recently, many of my bills had the autopay feature turned on without me manually choosing it. I had to go over all my bills because there were bills marked as paid that were not deducted from my bank account because they were never paid. I had to mark many bills unpaid. Please look into this. Thanks.

P.S. : The option to email you via the website keeps giving me an error even after restarting my iPhone!

This bill tracking app is great once you get used to it. It has the ability to track more bills in different time frames (filters) than other apps. NEVER seen that in other apps I’ve used. Slight learning curve, but not too great. The simplicity of this app is exactly what I was looking for! Lets you see more bills due at once in a simplified interface. Any upgrade to this app would be welcomed!👍👍👍

**Developer response:** Thank you for the detailed review. 😀 I'm glad the filter options are proving valuable! I'm always looking for ways to improve, so email me any upgrade suggestions at support@billout.app. 👍

### 5/5 — Wonderful Bill App

*2025-03-06*

Solid, easy to use, worth the premium. Haven’t had any issues. 5/5 for me.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for the review 😀

### 5/5 — App

*2025-01-30*

Love this app ! Very easy to navigate, and the fact that you can use company logos makes the app that much better

**Developer response:** Thank you for the review!

### 5/5 — Almost perfect!

*2024-12-21*

It’s rare that I leave reviews but I just had to let everyone know how great this app is. The functionality it offers is everything I was looking for! The only thing I would add is the ability to upload your own logo (since the search does not bring up logos for every url) or the option to change the color of the stock icons provided. I recommend this app to everyone. Hope to see an update soon!

### 5/5 — Simple but Mighty

*2024-12-11*

I have been looking for something like this for a long time immediately purchased . Omg you are a blessing

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-08-01, version 3.4.1*

Doesn’t sync to do shared bills can not add a friend

### 1/5 — Issue with app

*2025-04-27*

This app had me on trial for two months in which I listed all my bills. I just find out that it deleted all my bill records asking for premium payment. When I paid the one off premium, it did not restore or even put back the records, everything is still missing. I doubt this app. It would be good for a reminder email of the trial or contact is available for issues. I tried using the contact form but it came up with error.

**Developer response:** Hi Hiliannie,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm sorry to hear about the experience you had with your bills after your initial 60 days of Premium access ended.

To clarify how BillOut works: When you first sign up, I offer 60 days of complimentary Premium access so users can experience all features.

At the end of this 60-day period, you can continue using the app for free, but the Freemium version is limited to managing 7 bills.

Before manually switching to the Freemium version, a confirmation message appears explaining that only 7 bills will be retained and the action is irreversible.
It sounds like this process wasn't as clear as it needed to be, resulting in the loss of your extra bills.

Purchasing Premium after switching to the Freemium unfortunately doesn't restore bills removed during that transition.

Regarding reminders, I provide alerts both via push notifications and by displaying a Premium status screen within the app. These reminders are sent 10 days, 7 days, and daily for the last 3 days before your Premium access expires, helping you prepare for the transition.

Please contact me directly at support@billout.app if I can assist you further.

### 1/5 — Okay.

*2024-03-13*

I downloaded the app and started using it for about a month. But I could only create 7 bills. It stated that I could get 60 days free for the premium. But I never did, so I bought the lifetime for $4.99 . I still can’t get more than 7 bills. Don’t purchase this app.

**Developer response:** Hi, I’m sorry to hear you are having an issue with BillOut. Can you please contact me at support@billout.app. I will get it sorted for you in a flash. I’m known for my responsiveness. Thank you.
Edit: 1st April 2024, Are you still on board? I'm happy to help you get things rolling. No worries, I promise not to take a bite out of you 😀

### 1/5 — They try to trick you into premium subscriptions

*2022-03-09*

When I set the app up it made no mention of a subscription service. I noticed that in my profile it said premium. I thought this was odd since I did not see anything asking if I wanted to sign up for a subscription or any pricing. I checked my subscription in settings on my phone it did not list even a free trial for this app. Finally I tapped on where it said premium and it brought me to a screen that has 2 options freemium and premium. It said there was a 60 day free trial for premium, but how they plan to charge after the free trial is unclear because free trials are normally listed under subscriptions in your phone settings. When you switch to the free service it does remove some of the features, so if it appears you have all features and can list more than 7 bills then you are set up on the premium service.

**Developer response:** Thank you for contacting us aes1016.

BillOut does not provide a subscription for its service, it’s only an in-app purchase (one-off) that unlocks all the features in the app for life. Subscriptions that appear in your iOS settings are recurring subscriptions that will be charged monthly/annually and you will have to remember to cancel it before they renew if you don’t want to be charged.

BillOut is trying to help its users to get on top of their bills, it would not make any sense for BillOut to charge a recurring bill.

When you signup to BillOut we unlock all the features for you for 60 days so you have time to test the app properly over a considerable amount of time (many users have monthly bills, this is why we decided to unlock all the features for 60days). Once the 60 days are over nothing is charged, and you can stop using the app or you can either use the app for Free by choosing the Freemium (some features will be locked) or you can purchase the Premium (Nonconsumable purchase) to re-unlock all the features forever. A notification is sent to the user 7days before the end, then the last 3 days.

I do apologise if you felt misled by the wording (Continue Trial), but rest assured there is no subscription service on BillOut. At the same time I would like to thank you for your feedback as it showed us we should reconsider the wording on the button to avoid any misunderstanding for other users.

Feel free to reply or contact us at contact@billout.app if you have any more questions.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2026-05-02*

This is the second bill payment app that I have tried after my favourite app GetReminded shut down. Initially this app seemed okay but quite cumbersome to use and allowed duplicate bills to be added without any warnings. Initially in the end it forced me to try their premium version but chose the free version and it deleted almost all of my bills in some random fashion. It did warn me it would delete them but why wouldn’t it just keep the most current.

Anyway, I gave it a go and now it’s history.

**Developer response:** Hi there, thank you for the feedback. I’ve kept duplicate warnings off to ensure a smooth experience for those tracking daily expenses. You can always delete duplicates quickly in the 'Manage my bills' screen. Regarding the bill limit when choosing the free version, the app specifies that 'the first 7 bills created will remain and the rest will be deleted'. This was designed to protect your earliest data, but I appreciate your perspective on keeping the most recent instead. I'd love to hear more about how you use the app at support@billout.app so I can keep improving. ☺️

### 2/5 — Tracking bills

*2026-03-31, version 4.1.0*

Not saving my setting and I paid for the app to have premium.

### 2/5 — Few tweaks needed

*2025-08-27*

Great app, however BillOut must have the ability to mark a bill paid in advance of the due date. Great app and it’s definitely a five star. Glad to support this developer who does respond quickly to emails. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

### 2/5 — Does not keep history of payments

*2024-08-25*

This app falls short, it will not keep a history of past payments.
You will need to go in every month and change the amount, understandable, but if you want to check on confirmation that you paid something last month or the month before you won’t be able to see that because when you add the current electric bill it will erase all payments previously enter on the electric bill payment. This guy needs to step it up. I did reach out to him and explain the problem with his app but he has not made any changes. Too bad, it would be a good program.

**Developer response:** Hi Peggys,

Thank you for the review.
The app is currently in Beta, so stay tuned for updates, I'm sure you will enjoy it. 😀

I reached out to you on the 1st of July to invite you to join the Beta program, but I didn't receive a reply. If you're interested in joining, please let me know.

To view your bill history, you can go to the "My bills" screen and tap on "show history." This will display your last 10 bills for the selected bill.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!

Edit: 10th of September. Have you tried the new update? It now supports changing the amount on an individual recurring bill. 😀 Give it a try.

### 2/5 — Ok

*2024-01-17, version 2.3.0*

The app is ok. But I never get notified when a bill is due. I need that notification, I don’t want to look every day to see if something is due.

### 3/5 — Taking the wrong brand logo for many

*2026-04-04*

For me out of six, 2 brand logo is not coming correctly. While selecting it’s displaying correct logo but after saving it’s showing entirely different brand logo. (OnePay, My Tello)

**Developer response:** Hi, thank you for the review. We fixed this together by email 😀 If you have a moment to update your review, I would appreciate it. Enjoy BillOut!

Been using it for the last couple of years and its been perfect. Simple and effective.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2026-05-02*

To the developer, thank you. So glad I found your app and upgraded to paid version. More than helps me with my finances.

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2026-03-29*

I have tried a lot of apps, most inundate the user with a ton of features that aren’t needed.

This app, for me at least is spot on. Log bills, see what’s upcoming and what’s paid. That’s what is needed for the average homeowner.

Lovely

### 5/5 — The only bill tracker I’ll need

*2026-03-09*

Absolute lifesaver, I’ve been using this for a solid year perhaps even more and the features are just right for what I need. Love the icons which is a small detail but so satisfying to see. Insights for this month and future months, calendar view help for budgeting. This is my official ride or die please don’t even decommission this app!!!

### 5/5 — James

### 5/5 — James

Great App. I used Prism for years until they discontinued it. This app is the closest thing I have found that is anything like it. Especially since you can download the bill pay icons for each bill.

If you like to keep track with bills and info about that, this is a perfect, reliable app. I love how you can put all your info in it, give an icon to each account you put in for quick visual reminder. Very new, now days way to keep track for all your accounts and bills. Must have.
Thank you for the thoughtful app!!!

### 5/5 — A Must have!

### 5/5 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*2025-08-05*

Discovered this app while looking for a new bill reminder. Works great. Little bit of a learning curve and needs a few tweaks, but overall I really like it and will update to Premium after the generous trial period. My biggest cons are that you cannot pay a bill in advance of the due date, because app defaults to the system date. And the Paid Bill Visibility is a bit too dark. Be cool if the coming up due bills would float to the top, so you wouldn’t need to scroll down to the very bottom of the bill list. Maybe I just have too many bills? Regardless, great app and it’s definitely a five star. Glad to support this developer. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
