I only use Bilt because this is the only way I can pay rent (there is something shady between my apartment and Bilt). And I noticed Bilt charged me extra more than my rent statement every month. I’m not speaking for everyone, but since I've been using the app since June 2025, it has been nothing but horrible—terrible, the worst experience of my life. How many apps do you see that require updates and appear on the update list every single day? Sometimes it’s multiple times a day. The Bilt app needs a complete overhaul and should be sent back to product development for its first ‘Sprint’—an app that actually functions without the need for DAILY “Miscellaneous bug issues,” as the update notes state. People who use the Bilt Rewards app to pay rent should be able to trust and feel confident when paying or posting thousands of dollars to an app that behaves like a brand-new water hose: when you turn it on, only two drips come out, making it useless. These are the facts about your Bilt Rewards app. It's an exhausting experience. I nearly canceled my card due to the hours-long wait for a live representative, as I could only communicate with AI. I believe this is the direction all credit cards are heading. While AI isn't entirely bad, I still really dislike the overall experience. The card itself has been beneficial. However, some aspects are quite difficult to comprehend and navigate, and if you're looking for an immediate response, you won't receive it. I still rate it five stars because they may have improved the value you get for the money you spend, something I still find confusing. For instance, I have a $500 credit limit, but since I don't plan to use it, it will eventually expire. At some point, I will stop using this card, and all the points will expire instead of being applied towards my mortgage and payments. They will deduct the points.
