On top of that, I used the Bimmerpost.com website to establish an account out of frustration. It insisted on getting a credit card that was immediately hit with fraudulent charges. ### 2/5 — Login failure *2026-06-10, version 7.1.5* Since the recent update I can no longer login to the app, no issues with the website. This appears to be a media negotiation or codec support issue within the in-app player (likely WKWebView), potentially related to recent iOS media framework changes. The failure occurs across multiple threads and video hosts. App offload/reinstall does not resolve it. Safari uses the full native media stack and succeeds, while the app’s WebView fails to initialize playback. This suggests deprecated APIs, missing media permissions, or incorrect handling of modern streaming headers. Please review in-app video playback implementation for current iOS compatibility. I can no longer see images in the posts. I’ve checked the settings, deleted and reinstalled the app, and nothing helps. Now I’m having connection issues. Come on already. The community can be helpful and informative, but it’s also fairly combative and argumentative. Barely worth posting. The app itself used to be great. It’s awful now. ### 3/5 — One of the Best Communities Out There *2025-10-31* Bimmerpost is hands down one of the best forums and apps I’ve ever come across, and I’ve been part of quite a few over the years. The members, the app, and the overall experience are exactly what you’d hope for in a community like this. Everyone’s helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate, which makes every visit enjoyable and worthwhile. Truly a model for how online forums should be run. The people behind the app are simply amazing and very attentive to all feedback and reporting. During all the backend updates, the app’s maintainer has been very responsive to bug reports and transparent about outages and temporary hiccups. The BMW-dedicated community here on BIMMERPOST is great!
