On the Android platform, I was often surprised that stitching results are better (i.e., seamless) compared to those made through Photoshop (using the latest version), especially on large surfaces like a sea surface. I’ve used lots of stitching apps and none are as good as Bimostitch. I had the lite version and that served me well. I liked it so much I decided to buy the pro version for the extra features and to give the guy some support by purchasing it. It just works. And it works well. The only thing that could improve is to be able to take the photos within the app rather than need to take them from the photo album. But it’s not a big issue. Support for higher bit depth and HDR support are in development. ### 5/5 — Excellent *2024-11-21* Great work!! ### 5/5 — This Is Really Good *2024-11-07* On YouTube I saw Shayne Mostyn’s video about using Bimostitch to create an amazing photo of the Milky Way’s core across the night sky. He used Bimostitch to automatically combine 5 or 6 individual photos into a panorama, right in his phone! I had to purchase Bimostitch Pro. I was having a little bit of trouble making it work once I had the photos to combine. I sent an email to the developer, he got back to me almost immediately, and explained I needed to hit the add command at the top right of the screen. Doing so creates a preview image, and you can tell it to go ahead and make the panorama which it does right in the smart phone. I wish I could give it 10 stars. :-Don **Developer response:** Thanks very much for a wonderful review. Thank you! ### 5/5 — Hard to choose photos to stitch. *2024-08-06* I found it difficult in this app to determine what photos were taken as a group intended to stitch later. If you could group the photos taken at the same location, time, and orientation that would be a big help when selecting photo for panos. I also wish the image preview prior to stitching could be higher quality so that I didn’t need to experiment with the settings so much prior to final output. I was relying on Google Photos to make the panos for me, but I can longer find that feature in their app. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not that smart *2026-04-18* Bought this to stitch a number of trail photos. The trail is curved. This app cuts off sides, edges, fails to even recognize overlapping routes. I even successfully stitched two vertical maps and two horizontal images but it could not combine the two. There is no manual override for you to align maps. That would be useful. Every time i tried combining both, it cut off top and bottom, very frustrating. I would save your money. **Developer response:** There is a difference between rotational panoramas and maps or trail photos taken with linear rather than rotational motion of camera, I think you don't understand what exactly this app is for, glad to refund your money. Bimostitch is designed for rotational panoramas, images must be taken from the same point while rotating in any direction. Images captured with linear translation motion are not part of what the app is designed to process, please read the app description carefully or refer to the help section in the app. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2026-03-29* I just paid for it, and the app doesn’t show the selected photos for the stitching. **Developer response:** What exactly do you mean the app doesn't show selected photos for stitching? ### 2/5 — Für Panoramen mit iOS gibt es nicht viele Alternativen *2026-05-19* Nur ist die Qualität von Bimostitch nicht eben berauschend im Vergleich zu Desktop-Alternativen. Fisheye Aufnahmen kann man vergessen, bei Drohenaufnahmen werden die Metadaten nicht eingelesen, oder? Also für kurze Bildsequenzen geeignet. **Developer response:** I am a Zambian computer vision & artificial intelligence engineer/researcher, wrote down below, that this app is not based on gyroscope pose metadata nor accelerometers, it is based on advanced image recognition algorithms. And this is Apple App Store, there is literally no provision to delete individual user reviews by developers, what exactly is your problem here? The app does not use any image position nor pose metadata from special sensors it is entirely based on image matching. Meaning it matches images based solely on the contents of the images by utilising state of the art image recognition algorithms those PC counterpart software you mentioned does not possess. It is clearly mentioned that images must have features in areas over overlap otherwise they willl not be correctly matched. Perhaps read product description before purchasing to avoid confusion. This is a computer vision based app, it is based on vision not position sensors. ### 2/5 — Rendering Keeps getting stuck *2025-11-06* I purchased the Pro version on my SE 2nd Gen iPhone to take Spherical 360 Panos. The final rendering keeps getting stuck less than half way through and the app closes. I’ve cleared off all other apps, and tried shooting the spherical pano sequences carefully in a variety of ways, but nothing seems to complete, except for some partial panos, where the resolution seems quite nice, but only in incomplete scenes. **Developer response:** Devices with 3GB RAM need to lower the maximum output resolution in the settings to below 250 MP. It's physically impossible to render 1 Gigapixels panorama on such devices. Not to mention apps are heavily memory capped on older iOS devices. Meaning apps are only allowed to use a fraction of the available RAM. No matter how many apps you close it won't make a difference. If you want higher resolution you need to upgrade your hardware. ### 2/5 — Hat nur einmal funktioniert *2023-09-06* Berlin, 06.09.2023 Ich habe diese App am Freitag den 01.09.2023 zum ersten mal benutzt und da hat sie optimal funktioniert. Gestern wollte ich diese App wieder benutzen und es funktioniert nicht. Man kann zwar die Fotos auswählen, aber sobald man auf hinzufügen drückt, passiert gar nichts mehr. Attempted some changes in settings but nothing fixed that , so bad since all my panoramas are done in portrait to get maximum definition for vertical size. ### 3/5 — First it worked, but then it didn’t *2022-12-11* This was a great app, however after performing first project, only the Videos are accessible now and cannot access pictures anymore from phone gallery. Either fix or give me refund please. Update:: 1star to 3star Found the issue was due to poor UI. The plus opens videos only, The pic in on opens photos. Devs, change up the upper right iconography to be more clarifying. Also, the app is slow to respond when switching between projects or settings and opening project. Thanks. ### 4/5 — Nearly amazing *2026-04-12* This one is nearly amazing, but it has a few issues which stop it being my tool of choice. The first is that turning off its colour adjustments doesn't work. You can have a bunch of screenshots, stitch them in planar mode with all auto adjustments turned off and it'll still adjust the colours of some of the pictures, ruining the output. The next annoying thing is that it always breaks up very large panorama into multiple wide panoramas. It just doesn't try to find how the rows join together after a certain size. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. How many source images are you referring to as "very large" panoramas? Be more specific with feed or provide sample source images to android.bimostitch@gmail.com so developer can recreate what you are saying. Blending will always mix colours that's why it is stated you need to ideally use images with similar colour intensities for stitching. Images will not be matched together if the overlap between them is very small that's why your source images are broken up into multiple outputs. ### 4/5 — Bug *2024-09-12* Delete function: put the finger in the middle of picture .. There is also currently a bug where the latest pano shows as only white or black rectangle. The completed panos should automatically save to the Photos. The latest update has basically broken the app, I am just getting solid white or black images. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. HDR mode is planned for future release. The location data plus time and date being preserved in the final output would also be appreciated. ### 5/5 — Finally a replacement for Autostitch Panorama! *2025-12-22* I used to use an app called Autostitch Panorama Pro, back in the day. Years ago, Google bought it out and shut it down, which was a shame because it was - without question - the best app for stitching together photos into a panorama. By which I mean : you take a dozen or so photos with overlap between them, and then stitch them after the fact. BimoStitch finally does this again. No subscription, one-time payment, all processing done on-device. And the results are pretty damned amazing. I have questions about the autoexposure when you have overlapping pictures with radically different exposures but it does do a more-than-reasonable job. The kicker is that it will do multi-row stitching and 360° stitching so you can - if you want - stitch together a huge number of photos to create a high resolution photosphere. This is WAY better than the built-in panorama function in the iOS camera app. So pleased to have found this. **Developer response:** Thanks very much for a wonderful review. ### 5/5 — Small Effort, Great Reward *2025-11-16* The stock iOS panorama system blows, and produces a fuzzy complete product. I’ve been using this for years and have paid for it multiple times across difference operating systems—it’s legit. I think the dev should consider changing the defaults to make a better first impression. I haven't quite figured out how to make a photosphere yet.
