### 3/5 — Buggy

*2025-02-22, version 2024.6078*

Won’t let me add binxmodels on my phone - log in does not work in my iPhone

### 3/5 — SMH

*2023-02-17, version 2022.4548*

In all honesty, It is very efficient for the job site. I bring it with me every day it’s nice to quickly pull up a set of documentations. However, the downfall is that no annotations can be made on it. This is something that is needed and then exported to ArchiCAD so I can make revisions they need to implement this to take this to the Perfect companion up for ArchiCAD. One should be able to export the annotation to ArchiCAD, and have the review tool imported.

### 4/5 — 4/5 great app but room for improvement.

*2022-04-06, version 2021.3783*

This App is a great tool for conveying ideas to clients and consultants but it is lacking some of the desktop features that would really make it shine. It would be great to see adjustable sun settings, shadows and brightness. It also seems like development of this app hasn’t progressed much. The addition of archicad light objects and night mode would really help show the ambience we as designers try to create. Overall a great platform but a few little additions would really make it shine.

### 3/5 — Needs more Features

*2022-02-27, version 2021.3783*

Great app but lacks the capabilities of the desktop version. BIMX need to adopt mouse/keyboard input for iPad pros for better exploring experience

### 4/5 — More Features

*2021-10-15, version 2021.3705*

Should have snap to objects to accurately measure on site. Also should have more features from the desktop version as iPads now are near as powerful as some laptops

### 2/5 — No thank you

*2020-09-27, version 2020.3001*

This app is clearly attractive. And as much as I’d love to work with this app there’s one thing that set me off to uninstall it and that’s when moving the camera. The Left is Right, Right is Left, Up is Down and Down is Up. Why?? Why why why.?..? If i pan to the Right i want the camera to move to the right not the Left. Mind Blowing decision and sad because it could’ve been a 5 star in my book.

### 3/5 — July update has affected the colors

*2020-08-03, version 2020.1087*

I have been using this app for 2 months now. And since the latest update in July 2020 the colors have been too light and it hardly gives the outward appearance as intended as before. Please fix. I appreciate the effort put into this application though, just perfect. Sort the color issues because i want to buy.

### 1/5 — Update crashing the app

*2020-07-09, version 2020.1087*

This app just updated and now I can’t view any models in 3D without the app crashing! Please fix. It was working fine until update!

### 3/5 — Controls are not intuitive

*2020-06-05, version 2020.1.2637*

I’m not sure what camera control model is in use in this app, but standard gestures such as two finger pans, single finger drags to rotate, etc do not work in this app. It makes it a hugely frustrating experience trying to navigate around something like a model of a building.

### 3/5 — Please explain :(

*2020-05-24, version 2020.1.2637*

I’m not sure how to build

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Difficult signing

*2026-02-19, version 2025.6899*

There is not support at all … I have 3 new construction projects, I can only have access to 1 of them

### 1/5 — poor server management.

*2025-09-01*

Server is broken. Downloading models is not longer possible because of a “communication error”
Emails to the team seem to be going into the ether so downvoting here along with others in the hopes Graphisoft will address the issue.

**Developer response:** Dear Architecturegeek, the issue has been fixed. Thank you for reporting it!

### 1/5 — Problem to login.

*2025-08-11, version 2025.6744*

Problem to login not helping

### 1/5 — Impossible and unintuitive

*2023-02-01, version 2022.4548*

Why do developers offer an app that is impossible to figure out how to use?

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2022-11-29, version 2022.4506*

Latest upgrade for iPhone crashes every time we try to open the 3D model

### 1/5 — Confused

*2021-07-08, version 2021.3402*

I’m completely confused on how to build I need like a step by step because I open a file and I’m not aure how to build and i don’t know if I even need it be in a file to build please help!

### 1/5 — Bring back the Legacy Version

*2020-10-27, version 2020.3146*

Anyone who has used BIMx prior to the latest ArchiCAD 24 release knows how poor in comparison this app is. The 3D looks “shockingly” bad in comparison, there is no longer any function to view in stereo 3D with R/B glasses, and the parallel projections has been removed.

I can think of no reason why they removed these items, except a simply poor decision to do so.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2020-08-27, version 2020.3001*

The issue is that after paying what I understood to be a perpetual license for the previous version I now need to pay an annual subscription. Condescending message offers a 1year free trial to those who previously bought the app outright, as if you are getting a special deal. I would rather have the previous version back so I can continue to use it with Archicad 21 files. I don’t upgrade Archicad every year. Disingenuous I think to sell the app outright and then ask you to pay a subscription further down the track. This new release has no significant improvements. Further more I can’t convert and open previous models, no explanation, just a red cross next to the file name. Frustrating!

### 1/5 — No longer able to open files on iPhone

*2020-07-28, version 2020.1087*

The new version just doesn’t seem to work on my iPhone 8

Great app replaced with non functioning version.

### 1/5 — It No Longer Works

*2020-07-10, version 2020.1087*

I paid for BIMX Pro in 2017. It worked fine. The app was automatically updated to the new version in July 2020 -- and it no longer works. It says I need to convert the model to the latest format -- but the conversion process doesn't work. I'd be happy to go back to BIMX Pro -- which I paid for -- but now it wants me to pay again for an app I already purchased.

Not sure this is a software suppliers you want to rely upon.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Issue Resolved

*2025-09-09, version 2025.6744*

Edit - There was a server/dns issue preventing model download. That issue has been resolved.

### 5/5 — Worth Updating

*2025-05-22, version 2025.6651*

Latest version has a ton of great improvements. Huge improvement! I don’t say this often, as most updates to software are change for the sake of change these days, but this one is good.

### 5/5 — Good for clients

*2024-10-15*

We use the app extensively in our office to share designs with clients. We accept the slightly lower visual quality of the 3d model as the app is very nimble and models tend to be small in size- thus easy for clients to download and work with.

A couple of points on the new version. It’s extremely frustrating that clients- which used to be able to install and start viewing- now have to have a Graphisoft ID and login credentials. To make this easy for them I’m giving them our office ID but I have no idea why graphisoft added this layer of complexity (actually I do have an idea- but I hope they realize it hurts them more than it helps them). My only other gripe- which has been mentioned by others ad-infinitum, is that there is no mark up tool for either the model or the imported pdfs. What an INSANELY powerful tool the app would be if they could institute this measure that so many people are asking for. I have to think they’re working on it.

**Developer response:** Hello, thanks for your detailed review!
BIMx has a 2D and 3D markup tool based on BCF, with integration into Archicad:

### 5/5 — 💡✨ ArchiCAD App for iPad Pro M2: Optimization Request 🏗️🔥

*2023-10-27, version 2023.5234*

ArchiCAD Developers,

I kindly request that you consider the possibility of creating an ArchiCAD application optimized for the iPad Pro M2, with its powerful processors. I believe that such a step would significantly enhance ArchiCAD's functionality and make the work of architects and designers more convenient.

Using an iPad Pro M2, users would have access to faster and more efficient work with your software. This would be particularly important for on-site work, where mobile devices are increasingly in demand.

Many professionals in the fields of architecture and design would be willing to use ArchiCAD on the iPad if a suitable version were available. This could also attract new clients and expand your user base.

I hope that you will explore this opportunity and recognize the potential it offers. Your attention to this matter would be highly valuable to professionals working in this industry.

Sincerely,
Noakhcho.

### 5/5 — I like it

*2022-11-13, version 2022.4362*

This app is just cool. Much better with an iPad

### 5/5 — BIMx problem fixed quickly

*2021-10-05, version 2021.3705*

I’m happy to report that after I reported a bug with BIMx related to either the new iOS 15 or iPhone 13, the bug was fixed within a week. And the bug was part of a teething problem of the sort you might expect from a major OS release. Thank you, Graphisoft! Good support.

This program is INDISPENSABLE in communicating my designs to clients and if you use Archicad you should be using it too.

### 5/5 — Phenomenal

*2021-08-08, version 2021.3402*

Excellent tool to impress clients!

### 5/5 — A great BIM model viewer

*2020-11-28, version 2020.3146*

Really enjoy using this app and especially like sharing it with Clients for them to also use and engage with them on proposals as they are issued. Love it! 👍🏾

### 5/5 — So useful

*2020-08-03, version 2020.1087*
