But this new version is woeful. In particular Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon council is not covered at all. Pretty useless to us. It’s almost a complete waste of space as information is severely limited, disorganised and interactivity is zilch. Surprisingly it has been around for over 5 years but looks like it’s still in the beta version of its development stage. Data given to receive address specific information appears to go nowhere as one is prompted to type this in later again! News and tips is like a lucky bag without any possibility of filtering the list. I won’t even begin to comment on the lack of a uniform graphic presentation or CI. ### 1/5 — Minimum Viable Product *2022-09-10, version 2.4* bin-ovation has one purpose on life, which it can barely achive. Print, and Instruction buttons don't work. The UI for setting the reminders is functional at best. Notifications work one day and then not again for months on end - don’t rely on it to remind you when to take bin out or, like myself, you will miss multiple collections. When you click the “when is my next collection” option it takes you to the internet webpage of your local council, pointless really having the app then isn’t it? ### 1/5 — Poor coverage *2021-08-10, version 2.4* Recommended on the Lisburn & Castlereagh Council website but doesn't cover Lisburn & Castlereagh! And 'Choose your Country' - Northern Ireland or Qatar. I actually laughed at the absurdity of that. Deleted. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t print from the app *2021-07-15, version 2.4* I have tried printing the monthly schedule from the app print button but have no joy printed previously 2019 with no problem but from 2020 to now no go ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not fit for purpose *2026-04-28, version 3.8* This is an app done on the cheap (and my goodness does it show!) and really isn’t fit for purpose. It asks me to enter my house number and postcode to get bin collection reminders and then doesn’t recognise the postcode! Looks dreadful, horrible to use and so amateurish. Would be better off being ditched as it’s an embarrassment. How much tax payer money was wasted on this garbage? Whoever wrote it has a primary school level of competency. Fails to provide reliable notifications, forgets your address so you have to re-enter it repeatedly, but it then fails to connect anyway.
