The english translation made much more sense than Google Translate! The only downside was that it started to become buggy and lag. Even with the update, it did not improve. I have ultimately decided to uninstall the app due to no improvement with the loading and failure to translate. ### 2/5 — App stopped working *2023-08-30, version 1.0.2* In the beginning it was working wonders with talk to my mom. Now when I open the app I don’t see any message history. Everything is wiped. I tried to add her back on but nothing was populating. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I see the list of contacts now but my message isn’t going through. I was trying to send a message then the translation queue is stuck on the “…” action. I'm sure it will translate faster since it's continuing in development. Overall, I like it. The translation works great for English and simplified Chinese. I do wish that we could send pictures through the app and that the texting allows us to use the “return” button to change to a new line within the same text. The pictures is esp limiting because then we have to switch back to regular text messaging, derailing our whole conversation. Once upon a time, the app would not only translate text, but generate a description elaborating in your desired language to fully explain slang, pop culture, and other nuances. If the explanation wasn’t perfect, you could try again it would generate a better explanation. Now the app doesn’t work at all. Which is a bummer, considering it was the best way to share foreign references and ideas with my partner, and vice versa. I love the concept! Also, it would be better if there are pinyins under the mandarin words or other symbol based languages. My friend is learning mandarin and they can’t understand all of the characters yet.
