### 4/5 — I love this app but…

*2023-07-13, version 1.4.0*

I would love if it had a double tap like option!

### 5/5 — A+ but surprisingly good content

*2023-03-02*

I described this to my boyfriend as the non-alcoholic beer of social media. I’d love a double tap to like feature like Insta. I love it!

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for!

*2022-12-26, version 1.3.0*

My 1y/o niece likes to scroll through social media apps on my phone. She sees us doing it & wants to join in. But, being only 1, she has a habit of accidentally ‘liking’ and ‘sharing’ things, which can be a bit awkward for me 🙈 So I was looking around for a dummy picture app that she can scroll through but have no ‘real’ interaction with, and this is spot on!

### 5/5 — ocd tool

*2022-06-22*

Got diagnosed with OCD recently and excessive scrolling on sites is a symptom of mine. Like completely unintentional 13-hour stretches with no break till my eyes hurt kind of thing. I’m learning to embrace the discomfort of not giving into those urges, but at times when the anxiety is too much to bear, this is a good mediator. It keeps me aware of the fact that my brain wants mindless scrolling, not a real urgent task to complete. Thank you for this app.

### 5/5 — Everybody Binks

*2022-02-05*

A social networking app that will leave you happier and happily less social after using it. Outstanding. Would Re-Bink in a heartbeat.

### 4/5 — Pls add iPhone 13 Pro ProMotion support

*2021-11-03, version 1.3.0*

Scrolling is too choppy on the newest iPhone. I like the app, but scrolling is a big part of this app, and it should support 120hz scrolling

### 5/5 — Don’t think, just bink.

*2021-04-19*

I’ve been going crazy trying to quit social media during lockdown. Just downloaded Binky and it’s actually quite soothing. If you want to rub your phone without all the politics, drama, and fear of the last year you should just download binky.
10/10 I would recommend.

### 5/5 — great

*2021-02-06, version 1.1.0*

i keep this in my social media folder to remind me that nothing matters

### 5/5 — A Nicotine Patch for my Scrolling Addiction

*2021-01-22, version 1.1.0*

Thanks I think this will help a lot.

### 5/5 — Stress-free entertainment!

*2020-03-14, version 1.1.0*

I think this app is definitely on to something. Excited to see where it goes!

### 4/5 — Want more

*2019-05-12, version 1.1.0*

Please... I need likes. I need likes. I don’t care if AI ... give me my likes

### 5/5 — YAS!!! Wow this is amazing.

*2019-03-11, version 1.1.0*

👺 😺 😻 🚀 🎪 😤 👾 😣 😿 😲 🍟 😲

### 4/5 — Creative but...

*2018-12-07*

This is really weird and creative and a way to confuse your friends. But I think it could have a bit more like maybe have a way for people to post their own things on like a forum or is that a bad idea...

### 4/5 — Great game, just wish I could make my own comments sometimes.

*2018-08-24, version 1.1.0*

I really enjoy this app, but I just wish there was an option where I can turn on and off the automatic keyboard. It can be fun, but I’d like to write my own stuff sometimes.

### 5/5 — One thing missing

*2018-03-27*

I love this app It’s amazing! The one thing missing is to click on binks and discover what is being posted. Like the glockenspiel, like we should be able to click on it and it gives us information on it.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2017-09-25, version 1.0.5*

I will spend my last days on this app

### 5/5 — Indispensable !

*2017-07-24, version 1.0.5*

Note : un esprit de non-sens et d'auto-dérision est requis pour utiliser et apprécier cette app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t comment

*2023-04-17, version 1.4.0*

Unable to be severely racist and homophobic

### 1/5 — Dumb

*2018-02-21, version 1.0.5*

This app is pointless and should be deleted.

### 1/5 — Dumb

*2017-07-16, version 1.0.5*

Dumbbbbb

### 1/5 — Best app ever

*2017-06-21, version 1.0.5*

I know. I gave it one star, but that is only because I don't trust myself

### 1/5 — Pourquoi ?

*2017-06-21, version 1.0.5*

C'est tout ce qui me vient, cette app est totalement inutile

### 1/5 — Best App I've ever used

*2017-06-21, version 1.0.5*

1 star given for irony purposes. The fact is, if you are actually reading this, you need this app in your life. YOU NEED IT IN CAPSLOCK!!!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Sans intérêt

*2017-06-12, version 1.0.2*

Et sans commentaire...

### 2/5 — not quite satisfying yet

*2017-06-27, version 1.0.5*

i really really like the idea behind this app, but it's still not the same feeling. i think there should be an option to leave your own comments for example, or a profile with the things you've re-binked. just to still feel like youre doing something, even though ultimately it means nothing

### 3/5 — It's great, but I would love more customization

*2019-11-13, version 1.1.0*

I can't fully enjoy the app because the animations when swiping to the left or right are very annoying to me, I would love being able to disable that feature. Also, it would be nice to actually write my own comments

### 3/5 — Needs trivia / facts !

*2017-07-13, version 1.0.5*

This is so great, but to really make it a useful nicotine patch for social media if needs to have a little more substance in the content. If there was a little trivia fact or article or something (from Wikipedia?) for each picture, so you can click on ones you like and reveal a caption (and / or see more photos of it), that would feel like a much more authentic replica of real social media, and therefore be a more effective tool to help with withdrawal. Also, it would be educational! At the moment the simple experience of just scrolling past images with no text isn't quite replicating my social media fix. There was one image that is of some weird cracker from the 1800s which was given to the army as long-lasting food but actually it always got full of worms. It got the nickname "worm castles". The picture happens to have a little caption at the bottom with that story, as the image is of a museum exhibit. It was noticeable to me how much *better* and more satisfying the experience of the app was when there was that little trivia fact to read, rather than just a photo of an object or person with no info. I hope you develop this app further as its a brilliant idea and I would really like to use it as a serious alternative to social app browsing 🙃 thanks and peace out X o X o

### 5/5 — BINK

*2025-10-06*

I love this app. I figured out how to add the weird little keyboard to my phone and use it in any app and i feel so enriched. #bink. also: i yearn for a double tap feature in order to star the bink it feels inherently wrong that i can't just hit the picture twice. ok that's all thanks for this app

### 5/5 — Long Live Binky

*2025-02-03*

I keep coming back to this app. It’s equal parts incisive art piece and soothing social media nicotine patch. Each night I thank the universe for inspiring the developers to create it and pray for more images.

**Developer response:** Thanks! Reviews like this (and a decline in the general state of the world) make updates a lot more likely.

### 5/5 — I like it

*2025-01-10, version 1.4.0*

This app is hilarious!!!

### 5/5 — late 2024 binking

*2024-12-09, version 1.4.0*

its crazy how well this works. as a multi-year scrolling addict the swiping and liking feature satisfies my cravings without filling my brain with ai generated garbage. a few of the pictures actually led me to read real physical books to learn what theyre about. 10/10

### 5/5 — Still Binkin!

*2024-03-05, version 1.4.0*

Who is still Binkin in 2024? Where are my Binkyheads at???

### 5/5 — Just what I need to not jump on that IG wormhole

*2024-03-01*

Sometimes I feel like I just need to scroll but I don’t actually want to be on social media! This is exactly what I need for that! No social media nonsense just the satisfaction of scrolling. Hey, gotta take it one step at a time. And this is the first step for me. Great idea!

My only suggestion is that it’s kind of difficult to actually get the posts to swipe away. Maybe there is some way to make them swipe away more smoothly?

### 5/5 — Love it

*2024-01-23, version 1.4.0*

Love it just wish I could double tap to like stuff

### 5/5 — Scratches an itch

*2024-01-07*

I deleted social media off my phone about a week ago and found this app. It’s pretty good, it helps to scratch that itch you feel when you need to scroll.
Much nicer than having algorithms and adverts manipulating you. Life is quieter and better without having social media on my phone. I still have it on my computer but that seems to be enough to stop the endless scroll.

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2023-05-24*

This app is so stupidly well designed I can’t handle it. It really gives you relief to the urge to scroll scroll SCROLL. It feels goofy enough I feel it’s not worth spending time on it, the realization I SHOULD have on actual scrolling social media. It is perfect for what I need and it really does help.

### 5/5 — Unglaublich!

*2023-03-19, version 1.4.0*
