It would be a lot better if the text was clearer and the layout was a lot smoother and less jumbled up. Hence why I’ve only given 2 stars. If it improves significantly I will update my rating but until then I’m sorry but the app is a total let down. Sort it please. !!! 👎 ### 3/5 — Great app *2014-05-04, version 1.2* This app is really good but I wish that the maker of this app had put more biographies and fix the death of Adolf hitler instead of writing 1954 and put the write date 1945. But all in all a great app. ### 2/5 — Needs a ton of work... *2013-08-11* Long on fanciful graphics, really, *really* short on facts. This is a classic case, and perfect example, of style over substance failing in a big way. And there are SO MANY missed opportunities here for the presentation of more in-depth information. Considering the amount of valuable storage this app demands (just under a gig), and the price, it borders on pathetic. The biographies are superficial but a fair starting point. The spelling is not very good and some sentences are awkwardly written. For instance, Amelia Erhart has two different birth dates on the same page! I didn't even want to read anything because it's so bad. Kennedy was born in Brooklyn, not Brookline. And Julius Caesar's right hand man was Mark Antony, not Mark Anthony. Also, Julius Caesar's death is completely wrong. He did not die from a chill he caught while sailing. He was assassinated, stabbed several times on the Ides of March. (March 15). The most obvious missing person is probably the most well documented....Jesus Christ! No index, no table of contents, no search function, just a bunch of crummy icons usually leaving the subject a total mystery. No way to go directly to any individual and the content is pathetically brief. You can learn more about any of these people at dozens of websites like Wikipedia. The bios are presented alphabetically by first name! Sheesh, give me a break. Nothing but disappointment for me. ### 1/5 — Awful app! *2012-10-06, version 1.2* No index, no support, wrong information. It's not worth it. Even for free. ### 1/5 — Data Incorrect. Support? *2012-08-03* The first person I looked up was J. S. Bach and discovered he died in 1966. The sample music seems to be incorrect too! Perhaps the database is corrupted in some way, but who wants to read info that might well be wrong. Support was not available when I tried. (Maybe not their fault.) This app does not work with VoiceOver. I am glad I did not pay full price. ### 1/5 — Information wrong *2012-07-11, version 1.2* Adolf hitlers death date is wrong it says 1954 when it is really 1945 and it barely has any information on each biography ### 1/5 — 6% of those depicted are women!! *2012-04-29, version 1.2* Are you kidding? Out of 100 people represented in the app only 6 are women. This is a disgrace and the developers are completely out of touch with real world reality. ### 1/5 — Inaccuracies *2012-04-09, version 1.2* In Columbus' bio, the author rightly states that Columbus discovered Hispaniola, however, mistakenly refers to it as modern day Jamaica, even presenting the Jamaican flag as a visual. Anyone familiar with geography know that Dominican Republic and Haiti both make up this island. This serious error calls into question the validity of the entire app. There are also grammatical mistakes that lead one to believe that English is not the author's native tongue. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great App!
