It was an expensive piece of junk that doesn’t connect to the WiFi, camera is broken, rain device doesn’t work, basically a waste of money. It’s sad actually because the idea of a controlled environment for plants and fish is great! ### 1/5 — Glitchy app and no customer service *2021-07-22* The app remains faulty and no new build pushed out, customer service are robots that repeat the same reset message. You have to use the outdated 2.4ghz router and have the router within 15 or so feet of the tank. The app doesn’t give you an option to tests the systems or to even turn on the darn lights. I’ve checked the site and the instructions do not match the app. It’s extremely sluggish to update anything on the Biopod. A lot of people left with expensive tanks with no smart features ### 1/5 — Do not buy *2019-05-20, version 4.7* Does not work!!!! ### 1/5 — Bad design *2018-06-03, version 4.7* Bought a biopod off someone, and it’s been a nightmare to get the biopod connecting the biopod to at the app. At first the pod was still connected to the previous owner, which apparently the biopod cannot be controlled by more than one person (understandable), he removed himself from the biopod, and I was able to connect and register the biopod under my account, sadly, it’s still not allowing me to control the pod as it is saying “your biopod is not connected” even though I’m clearly on the biopod WiFi and I cannot remove the biopod from my account because I’m not connected to it, extremely disappointed in this product that’s left me with essentially an expensive glass box ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2018-01-25* Lagging, losing connection with biopod, no option to leave the uv light on separate. ## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — New updated design *2017-07-18, version 3.1* Love the update and the new features and look. Waiting for my biopod to ship and see how this actually works. ### 4/5 — Why it does not work *2016-08-18, version 1.1* The reason the app does not work yet is because you need the S/N in order to operate it, once you get your Biopod (if you ordered one) you can put it in and the app will connect to the Biopod, I am also skeptical with the setbacks of the delivery date and so on, however, they did do the live broadcast and showed all the biopods and how they have been in China finalizing the product, can't expect the app to work when you don't have the product to connect it to. ### 3/5 — Conflicted *2021-03-14* The tank says it is roughly 26°c in the air but it isn’t and the water doesn’t hear up neither. Also cannot find an option to view the camera. I can connect it to my home wifi but can’t get it registered, so I can’t go any further in creating a habitat. I sent a help request to the help email address, and received an automated reply, but a week later I’m still waiting on some actual assistance. It’s turned into a very large paperweight 😒 Any help would be gratefully appreciated. ### 2/5 — Hard to use *2018-03-04, version 4.5.1* The UI is a mess.
