### 5/5 — Most underrated app

*2026-07-14, version 5.5*

A great way to start the day. No ads and really just a phenomenally designed app. I was hoping for this app to exist. The developer was open to feedback and responded quickly and kindly. I’d recommend this to anyone

### 5/5 — Awesome free app!!!

*2026-03-15, version 5.3*

Not forcing you to buy a premium subscription!!! So great!!!! But you forgot one bird which is the paradise tanager (Tangara chilensis). It’s one of my favorite birds but you have all the other tanagers!!!! please add it! Thank you for reading and keep up the good work!😊🦜

### 3/5 — THE BIRD IS DEAD

### 5/5 — yes

*2025-03-21, version 3.2*

this is the best bird app going. i have discovered a love for birds within myself that i did not think was there. thanks to this developer, i now know about all of the roundest (black robin), ugliest (kakapo) and best named (morepork) birds in this world

### 5/5 — Best way to start your day

*2025-03-04, version 3.2*

This app provides me solace in a world of political turmoil, climate change doom reporting, and species decline. The premise is simple: one bird a day. If you feel like you don’t have a morning routine and you need one, this app is the way to get started. Additionally, I love the New Zealand species of the day and the Pigeon of the day both because I live in the US and don’t know much about NZ and also because pigeons rock! (The rock pigeon really rocks). Thank you for this app! Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — Best app on the AppStore

*2025-02-07, version 3.2*

This is exactly what I want from an app: teach me about birds without trying to sell me something. It’s perfect! I had to reorganize my apps recently because the doomscrolling was getting to me. Now I have a huge widget of a various bird pictures and it makes me feel a bit better. I also use the quote widget too. Thank you so much for creating this app!!

### 5/5 — The quotes are the best

*2024-10-11, version 2.3*

The birds are pretty to look at but the quotes are my favorite.

### 5/5 — pretty much the perfect bird app

*2024-09-11, version 1.3*

pigeons is my default but every day i check all 3 birds. what can i say i love the app a lot i guess

### 5/5 — Best bird app

*2024-09-01, version 1.1*

Nothing like reading about the New Zealand Grebe with my morning coffee. Very demure, very mindful.

### 5/5 — A Bird A Day Keeps The Doctor Away

*2024-08-29, version 1.0*

Finally a bird app that doesn’t collect my data!! thank you to what must be a 100 person development team that worked on this. i refuse to believe just one person can code this well!
