Did not use it as I needed help to set up from Christmas so got it going about three weeks ago. Worked great until battery died. Dealt with that and it didn’t work. Rebooted by removing and reloading. Took awhile then worked for two days and now dead again unable to take pictures but still can see through camera. Awful experience that could be really fun and cool which it was for about ten days. Not worth it! They finally got things straightened out and were more forthright in their comments as well as giving an extra month to customers. Their correspondence did improve and that was helpful because we don’t know which end is the problem and the trouble shooting is lengthy especially if it can’t work? Overall working well and fun. Up to 3 stars and ascending ### 2/5 — Promising but falls short *2026-08-19, version 1.20.10* I have both the Birdfy birdhouse and smart birdfeeder. The birdhouse works very well however we find when the birds build large nests inside it does not capture very good picture. Also, the way the app decides to edit clips isnt great. The bird feeder looks great but the solar power has caused constant problems. The AI isnt great and mis-identifies way more than it should. With both products Im getting way too many pings for the sale sorts of events making it somewhat useless as I ignore most pings because I dont need to see a nesting bird adjust their nest 30 times a day, or the sale sparrow hitting my feeder constantly. Prices for both products are too high but the poor software is the biggest complaint here. . ### 3/5 — Good but could be better *2026-08-18, version 1.20.9* I love the birdfeeder and all the options and technology of it. The little perch that they send with it got broken the first day!! It will go a day or two without recording anything even when birds are on it.
