Vor dem ersten Sync kann es nötig sein, das Adressbuch auf dem iPhone sauber einzurichten: Alle Datenfelder müssen entweder das Etikett "Privat" oder "Arbeit" tragen, sonst werden sie nicht synchronisiert. Daher sollte man auch das Syncen mit dem Windows-Adressbuch in iTunes abschalten. Wenn etwas nicht klappen sollte, gibt der Hersteller schnell und freundlich Hilfestellung. Außerdem gibt es in der Windows-Anwendung eine sehr detailliete Hilfe. Die Gesamtlösung kostet zwar 20 Euro, dafür spart man sich aber das Rumfrickeln mit Open-Source-Lösungen wie Funambol und Radicale und bekommt am Ende eine Lösung, die funktioniert. ### 2/5 — Funktion ok, aber Gratis? *2011-09-21, version 2.2.0.0* Die Funktion der App ist ok, nicht ganz selbsterklärent, aber es geht alles, ABER Nur mit der App ist es nicht getan, es ist noch ein Stück Software für den PC nötig, die kann man sich als 21 Tage Testversion kostenfrei laden (positiv) aber danach werden €19,95 fällig (Negativ). Man umgeht hier nur die Provision für den AppStore... The iPhone version works a treat and now syncs my contacts between phone and Thunderbird wirelessly. Even pulls contact photos down from phone. Of course you will need to buy a copy of the Birdiesync software, but why not try thr trial version first. ### 5/5 — Works Great! *2011-02-03, version 2.2.0.0* Originally I purchased it for my Windows Mobile Phone. Now on iPhone it's as usefull as it used to be with WM. Great App. ### 5/5 — perfekt bis auf Kleinigkeiten *2011-01-04, version 2.1.0.0* Sowohl Installation, als auch Einrichtung und Synchronisation verliefen bei mir völlig problemlos. Ich dachte zunächst, meine Kontakte wären falsch übertragen worden, im Thunderbird Adressbuch musste ich jedoch lediglich die Anzeige der Liste umstellen (auf "Nachname, Vorname" anstatt "Name"). Die erste Synchronisation überträgt noch alle Kontakte (was bei ca. 100 Stück relativ zügig ging, ca. 10-15 Sekunden), alle nachfolgenden nur noch die Änderungen. Auch die Bedienung der App ist sehr einfach, man muss nur den großen grünen Knopf drücken, nachdem man die Einstellungen angepasst hat und die Synchronisation dauert bei kleineren Änderungen (1-3 Kontakte) nur wenige Sekunden. Einziger Kritikpunkt bis jetzt: hat man auf dem iPhone den Kontakten benutzerdefinierte Felder zugewiesen (wie "Mobil, alt" oder "Zentrale"), so werden diese nicht im Thunderbird Adressbuch angezeigt. Es wäre schön, wenn das BirdieSync-Thunderbird-Plugin für die fehlenden Felder direkt einen Workaround anbieten würde. Sobald ich eine andere Lösung für das Problem finde, werde ich die Rezension updaten. ### 5/5 — Finally *2010-10-06, version 0* Had an iPhone for 2 years and the only grumble has been the lack of simple contact sync between Thunderbird and the iPhone. I have tried every option I can find on the web, none gave me true two way sync that worked. I have hundreds of apps, many of which I am extremely impressed with..... but this is my first ever review. Would really like to be able to sync calendar and tasks as well as just contacts, even to a built in calendar function. When trying to synchronize events on with iOS 5.1x device, the synchronization crashes all the time. Moreover, when synchronizing both ways the synchronization process creates duplicates of the birthdays calendar on the mobile device. ### 1/5 — warning! *2013-10-05, version 2.3.5.0* Contacts belong cetainly to our most important data. (In my case i have collected around 3000 business contacts over the last years.) The software that you are using to synchronize your contacts should be 100% reliable. Unfortunately this software is not: - It duplicates contacts during synchronization, in doing so crippling the duplicated datasets in a weird fashion, the result are totally bloated contact sets. The duplicate detection of the Thunderbird plugin does not detect a single duplicate afterwards... - BirdieSync always tries to delete several thousand contacts from my iPhone, also those that were synchronized just before... I spent hours over hours with the software in order to make it do what i wanted: No way (despite the fact that I am computer scientist who makes his living with writing software). I don't like to imagine what non computer scientists could make out of their data with this software... Latest update of Thunderbird is on the Windows 7 64 bit machine. Nach 30 Tagen braucht ihr ne Freischaltung fûr die PC -Software und die kostet ca. 20 € Synchronisation mit Lightning geht von Haus aus nicht. Nicht empfehlenswert! ### 1/5 — Schrott! *2010-09-24, version 0* Wer wert auf ein ordentliches Adressbuch legt, in dem nicht für jede Information ein neuer Eintrag erstellt wird, sodaß letztlich jeder Name mindestens fünfmal vorkommt, davon dreimal ohne weitere Informationen und wenn, dann nur in teilen, der sollte BirdieSync NIE installieren. Habe es jetzt dreimal mit allen möglichen Einstellungen versucht, es hat jedesmal alles zerschossen. Und dass, ohne die Möglichkeit eines Backups oder Rückholens. Was nutzt ein log der Änderungen, wenn man weder an die Daten rankommt, die geloggt wurden, noch die Änderungen rückgängig machen kann. Nette Idee, aber der Versuch ist ein gescheiterter geblieben. Beware, it will ruin both your TB and your iPhone contacts! Recommended. ### 5/5 — Super Mozilla-Sync *2016-01-06, version 3.0.0.4* Ich benutze das Tool seit Jahren, um meine iPhone-Kontakte mit Mozilla Thunderbird zu synchronisieren. Es war immer etwas umständlich, ist aber seit der Desktop-Version 3.0 einfach super geworden! Tolles Handwerkszeug. Wenn auch einmalig etwas teuer eine absolute Bereicherung, leider nur in Englisch. It is simply fantastic. I have used both v2 and v3 BirdySync and am running v3 with Thunderbird 38. It is very good software. It is also outstanding support. Funktioniert, lediglich die auf den IPhone, Rechner und in Thunderbird verteilten Einstellungen sind etwas mühsam zu beherrschen. Aber wie gesagt - jeder der mal ein WLAN Sync via iTunes versucht hat, der lächelt hier nur müde. Bin zufrieden. ### 5/5 — Tut was es soll *2013-02-06, version 2.3.4.0* Super App! Benutze Sunbird auf dem PC mit meinem iPhone 4 und habe mir mittlerweile auch die Vollversion gekauft. Lohnt sich wie ich finde weil es einfach und schnell geht. Auch das einrichten war kein Problem.
