Love this App. You always carry your phone with you, with the BirdLasser App I can log my sightings any time anywhere. Rapid capture is the essence of any field tool. The Birdlasser search algorithm uses any short string from the English, Latin or some other names to bring up a list of matches. This gets around the problem of remembering exact spelling and hyphenation, name changes and avoids scrolling down endless dropdown lists to find your target. It’s not the only innovation but it’s a winner. This app is designed in South Africa to work with atlassing systems there but it works perfectly anywhere - I’ve used it in Mauritius, Reunion and Australia.
