This app is so useful, especially when birding in a new location so you can plan where to go!  I have noticed that lately its started leaving off a lot of hotspots (still hotspots in ebird but not showing in app and used to).  Not sure if that was an intentional pivot but its definitely missed!

I’ve been using this app for a long time now and just recently I searched a bird brought up the different calls and as soon as I chose a call it wouldn’t load it just went back to my screen 😔 I love this app but it’s useless now because I can’t get the calls!

I downloaded this app specifically for the advertised radar capabilities. Where is the radar bird tracking tool? Otherwise, I like the app.

I absolutely adore this app but for the past couple of days it keeps giving me error messages. Something about “unacceptable content”? I just want it to work again because I love it so much... :/

I love the premise of the app, however I submit lists daily through the eBird mobile app and I do t see any of my sightings reflected in this application. Therefore, since this app indicates it pulls data from eBird, I’m skeptical. I would be happy to revisit my rating once these concerns are addressed or explained satisfactorily.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2019-03-27

Birds Near Me is back!  Unfortunately a few features needed to be removed to be compatible with new the eBird API.  The core functionality of the app is still working but its no longer possible to find sightings of any birds in the world.  Hopefully I'll find a way to make that usable in a future version. Sorry for the delay and thanks for all the positive messages people sent in.

### 1.4 — 2018-02-05

Fix issues caused by eBird Xeno Canto API changes. Species sightings and recording playback are now working again and now all API requests are encrypted.

### 1.3 — 2017-09-13

Taxonomy update for 2017. Birds Near Me is using the latest Clements Checklist to match eBird.
