Bad idea stopped at 30%. Now locked up not doing anything asking if I have an internet connection. ### 5/5 — Fantastic resource *2025-05-08, version 1.24* Currently planning my first birding trip to Africa, and I came across this app. What a fantastic resource - excellent photos, just the right amount of information for each species, and nice clear range maps. After waiting 10 minutes for a small 350mb country file to download I gave up and permanently removed this app for ever. A file the size normally only takes my internet 60secs or less. The quality of photographic images is second to none, whilst information, maps and interactive functions make this outstandingly the ‘go-to’ app for those with a keen interest in African birds, from beginner to seasoned field ornithologist. The African Bird Club and the app developers deserve high praise for producing this excellent resource.
