## What is Birds of Britain and Europe?

370 birds of Europe. More than 1000 pictures. 356 sounds.
Similar to "Wild Flowers", Birds Europe is a field guide which allows you to identify with ease the birds of Europe.
No need for internet connectivity : all is in the app.

An assistant allows you to select criteria as the color, the shape of the beak or the size of the bird. So, you can reduce the search to a limited number of species, and even identify directly a bird, in certain cases.

For each bird, one to four photos are available.

Bird songs for almost all species.

For each bird:
- general information, nutrition and behavior.
- identification by plumage.
- habitat.
- nesting period, number of eggs, colors of the latter, etc.
- biometric information: size, scale, weight, migratory status, order, family.
- distribution maps
- UICN RedList status and estimated population size
You can search for a species in the lists:
- by name
- by family and name
- by logical groups and name
(Each time in English or Latin)
- by personal notes
- by favorite species

You can add personal notes for each bird.
You can export / import your personal notes from or to another device: go to the "help-> export" page.

You can compare species or simply study them later with a list of favorite birds.

Bonne application, mais depuis longtemps l’icône de l’application est incompatible sur iPad, alors qu’elle s’affiche correctement sur iPhone. L’application Fleurs en poche s’affiche correctement sur iPadOS et iOS.

Je viens de découvrir qu’il y avait aussi les chants d’oiseaux. Qu’est ce qu’il manque. Ben en cherchant fort, peut être une liste plus compacte des résultats de recherche.

Families cannot be displayed in English. Also must scroll through species to see families and groups. Very cumbersome in the field when time is of the essence. Species should collapse behind families and groups.

Bonjour,
Beau travail. Par contre, je trouve qu’il manque un élément important, c’est d’avoir la localisation des oiseaux, idéalement avec une carte. Par ailleurs, manque au moins l’allouette.
Enfin, c’est fastidieux de ne pas pouvoir naviguer plus vite, comme directement aller à une lettre.... dans l’attente d’ajouter une ou deux étoiles 👍🏼

J'ai acheté Oiseaux en Poche en 2013.  Je l'ai trouvée très utile.  D'habitude je préfère dessins des oiseaux; ici on a très belles photos.  Les déscriptions sont aussi très bonnes.  Bien sûr dans une app comme Sibley`s North American Birds, il y a plus d'infos et dessins, mais on paye presque 10 fois plus cher. Je suis très satisfait avec cette app. 

I bought this app in 2013.  I have found it very useful. I do usually prefer drawings of the birds, but at least here the photos are very good.  So are the descriptions.  In a birding app like Sibley`s Birds of North America, there is more info and drawings, but it is also nearly 10 times the cost. I am very satisfied with this app.

3/12/17 v. 1.3 update: Now bilingual - French & English. Many other small improvements.

Bravo au créateur pour cette excellente application grâce à 2 points : mode off Line, excellente ergonomie, assistant de détermination bien fait. 
Le chant des oiseaux en plus est un bonus bienvenu. 
Pourquoi ne pas interconnecter cette appli avec les bases de données collaboratives pour référencer les oiseaux ?
