### 4/5 — I love birds

*2014-03-31, version 2.1.3*

Birds are awesome! Thank you!

### 1/5 — Bad

*2011-04-28, version 1.0.0*

It does not have the cool birds

### 4/5 — Love it!

*2011-04-06, version 1.0.0*

Short and beautiful. Love the individual bird songs they have embedded and the link to related wiki. Now I want the whole thing. Wish they had a US version of this.

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2024-01-27*

Upgraded my iPhone, now my app no longer works, unless I pay again 🥲

### 1/5 — Missing loads

*2021-04-12*

There are so many really common birds missing for here that’s it’s really not worth the bother. No house sparrow? No song thrush? No buzzard? And that’s just from five minutes of exploring the app. Absolutely useless.

### 1/5 — Missing species app.

*2021-02-07*

Absolutely useless app. Many species are not included.

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2021-01-30*

Completely waste of money and I feel robbed. Couldn’t even find a sparrow on the list. Tried the bird identifier and that doesn’t even find a sparrow. I assume this isn’t for the uk.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2020-06-23*

Next best thing to waste of space on an iPad. I have the full version so thought I’d put this on my grandson’s iPad to encourage him with bird spotting, but it’s useless. For example under “birds of prey” there is only the Hobby, which if one turned up anywhere near his home would be a birders idea of heaven.
Don’t bother downloading this and probably don’t go for their full version either if this is how they think they can attract new custom from children upgrading.
If I could review without stars I would.

### 1/5 — Rubbish

### 1/5 — Absolutely crap

*2018-04-21*

Don’t waste your time - deleted Thais app within 5 minutes. Doesn’t do what is promised & doesn’t even have basic birds such as rooks & ravens.

### 1/5 — Unhelpful

*2018-02-22*

Got the lite version and incredibly unhelpful. No way to easily see the birds and what they are called without clicking on each individual picture

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2017-07-27*

Don't bother. This is just a sample app and it couldn't even find the common hedge sparrow!!!

### 1/5 — Just Crashes

*2013-05-09*

Can't really offer any in-depth review of the app as every time I try to search a bird it crashes and shuts down! Rubbish.

### 5/5 — Birds of Britain lite

*2021-04-23*

Omg this is Soooooo good. I love it!!!!!!!

### 5/5 — Brill

*2018-02-02*

So quick and easy I go outside now just to record it on this app

### 5/5 — Love it!!

*2015-02-07*

Such an easy quick way to record my sightings!! Great app!!

### 5/5 — Parakeet ?

*2015-02-01*

Why no Ring Necked British Parakeet? I'm sitting at my daughters in South London listening to them which is the only reason I downloaded this app to get more info, but you don't list this widely recognised British Bird. Best update don't you think. All your Apps are great incidentally 😄

### 5/5 — Great free trial

*2012-05-08*

Top marks to ispiny for giving folks the chance to try their app for free, before paying for the full version. How many times have you paid top whack for an app and then decided you don't like it? A great little app, and I liked it so much I bought the full version.

### 5/5 — FREE Sampler and it works (Ver 2.0.2)

*2012-02-16*

Not to be missed!! AND a with this latest release a hint of what must be about to come on the full guide.
Although this guide only has the full information on a sample of 22 common birds it now has the ability to record sightings of around 700 birds with auto date/time and GPS location. So you can record that Egyptian Nightjar you see on holiday!
Earlier review:-
This lite version of "Bird Guide: A Field Guide of British Birds" has all the same functionality but with just 22 birds from the full list of nearly 300. It also has a good user guide.
The new Record Centre has geo-location for sightings which are created via smart search and use of auto time.
No GPS or wifi contact? Records are created by zooming into the map and pressing on the location to create a drop pin with details of the bird.
Records are viewed through lists or the interactive map, they can be exported in .xls format via iTunes and there is an email backup facility.

If you are unsure about buying the full Bird Guide then try this first.
                  It's FREE !

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2011-06-04*

This app is great, good search, great interface - the only reason I havnt bought the full version is I only have an iPad, so I am holding out for an iPad version, If you are looking for an app for your phone - buy the full version.

@"very limited" somebody has to say it - this is sample version nogin

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2011-04-21*

Really good app.

### 5/5 — Bird guide

*2011-01-11*

What happened to the paid version. There was an update but that has also gone. Otherwise a very good app, please restore it.

### 4/5 — Roger Ingold

*2019-07-30*

This looks a lovely app. But why nothing about the much-loved House Sparrow? Disappointing! That’s why I haven’t given the app 5 stars.
