## What is Birds of Prey and Owls?

Uniquely designed for easy use in the field, this app covers all 65 species of birds of prey and owls found in Europe (includes very rare visitors, such as the Marsh Owl). Detailed species accounts describe key identification features, voice, habitat, range, and size. Almost 500 full-color illustrations depict every species, and color distribution maps provide breeding and wintering ranges for every species. Wing pattern photos are included for every species.

Complete with an introduction to each family of birds, this new edition is the ultimate field guide to Europe's fascinating birds of prey and owls.

A key feature is the Field Note Editor, which allows you to record bird sightings and store/backup this data to an external server from which the data can be restored or installed on another device. Also included: exchange your field notes via Bluetooth with other users (or other iOS devices) running the same app.

### 2/5 — App hängt sich ständig auf!

Leider ist das Geld in den „Sand“ gesetzt. Sobald man das Verbreitungsgebiet oder den „Schrei“ anklickt, hängt sich die App komplett auf. Teilweise ist ein Neustart des iPad notwendig.
Schade, da so nur sehr eingeschränkt nutzbar.

Die App bietet viele Daten zu allen Tag- und Nachtgreifen und könnte ein gutes Kompendium sein. Grösstes Manko: Fotos, Silhouetten, Rufe etc. sind zunächst nicht enthalten und müssen nachgeladen werden. Leider werden sie nur im Cash gespeichert, so dass bei Platzmangel das OS diese Daten wieder löscht. Das ist natürlich ungünstig, wenn man das erst unterwegs merkt. Eine Supportanfrage diesbezüglich wurde nicht beantwortet. Dass man an der GUI noch arbeiten kann, ist daher erst mal zweitrangig.

Der erste Eindruck ist sehr gut aber leider hängt die App sich auf und ich muss mein iPad neu starten 
Nachtrag :
Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten funktioniert die App jetzt sehr gut
Mein Tipp wenn diese App nicht richtig funktioniert hilft ein kompletter neu Start des Tablets
