I have tried updating, installing, reinstalling, removing spam filters, etc. I just get an error and X every time I get to “send verification” step. I tried using chat for help on the website- no one answered. Very disappointing. ### 1/5 — App not for iPhones *2025-12-27* Not able to install app on iPhone. Repeated error message ### 1/5 — Would love to use but can’t log in *2025-12-27, version 1.1.1* Got bird camera for my birthday but it won’t send the verification code so I can’t even sign up. I eagerly read through the instructions and assembled the bird feeder, charged the battery, and set about to connect it to my WiFi. I downloaded this app, which is required to access the bird feeder’s functions. When I tried to register an account, I could not convince the app to send a validation code. “Error,” it told me, no matter how I tried to trick it. If I don’t hear from tech support, this gift will have to go back. What a shame. Unfortunately, users won’t realize that there is a problem with the app until after they have the bird feeder, because no one will read the is review until after they have downloaded the app and run into this problem THAT WAS REPORTED A WHILE AGO AND NOT ADDRESSED BY THE COMPANY. ☹️ ### 1/5 — Will not accept “the United States” *2025-11-14, version 1.1.0* I can't get it to send a verification code because it won't accept any variation of the United States, the United, or The United States of America. I am.currently using VicoHome that was from my other Birdsnap feeder. ### 1/5 — Upside down view *2025-08-30* Why are all the videos upside down now? ### 1/5 — App is garbage *2025-05-04* I paid a lot of money for the birdhouse, only for the app to be complete trash. Many functions don’t work at all, such as Sleep Settings - so all night long I get alerts when a car passes by or raindrops fall. Birdhouse is little more than an overpriced security camera without an app that functions well. ### 1/5 — Useless *2025-01-16, version 1.0.3* Impossible to add wifi network. Instead of allowing you to choose a network, app takes you to phone settings. Either the instructions are incorrect or the software. I have a commercial grade ubiquiti wireless network, with full coverage all over my property and this app just cannot get the job done. Do not give this company a dollar or a minute of your time. It sucks to click on every single video that says it saw a bird, and then click again to see if AI can identify it. What good is it to have such a cool product for people who love nature just to disappoint? The camera/app should work, otherwise it’s It is just a a snazzy looking bird feeder. And don’t come at me about my Wi-Fi being poor. That’s not the case, I have excellent coverage. It is the camera/app that is absolute garbage. A close friend of mine gave this to me as a get well gift because I am homebound. I don’t have the heart to tell her how awful BirdSnap is. And it’s a waste of time to try and reach out to the company because they always have an excuse on them being out of office. Sometimes it lags when connecting, and a few bugs that were fixed in the updates. Otherwise, it’s kind of neat to relax on my lunch break and see what’s going on at my feeders. I’ve pointed it at the other feeders so I can see them as well. Pretty good camera and app at this price point. It’s no - it works as advertised, except I can’t get it to feed another iPhone, hence the 4 stars rather than 5. However, Device Sharing QR goes unrecognized. App and camera work fine ( so far ). However, my wife can not share it with me. We followed all troubleshooting guidelines but nothing works. I ordered one for myself and was so excited when I set it up however, the app is giving me a lot of problems. I can’t view the recordings, it just says loading. Also now when I open the app I get an error that’s written in Chinese. I’m getting disappointed 😢 ### 2/5 — Motion Sensitivity *2025-07-13* Hundreds of false motion recordings daily due to windy conditions. App won’t allow lowering motion sensitivity. There is a “low” option but it doesn’t allow changes. I liked how it stored videos of identified birds and automatically identified them. This app gives a “no bird” error in many of the videos where there is clearly a bird present.
