It invites me to update this takes me to the app. Store this asks me to open it and round we go tried to remove it and reinstall same problem. Also there seems to be a square that continuesly blanks out in the top left hand corner when reading which requires you to turn the page back and then back to the page! So frustrating!!! It's 7 o'clock on a Monday morning and I'm only offered Saturdays copy to download!! ### 1/5 — Awful!!!!! *2013-12-04* Slow, clunky, awful! Bring back the old Birmingham Mail app! I don't like the buttons at the top and bottom of the page, these steal valuable space from the printed matter. I don't like the delay in swiping from page to page, the old app bought the next page up instantly. This morning, content wasn't automatically downloaded - it seemed to download the first two pages but the sport pages just said 'loading' but alas nothing loaded until I was back on like again. On the old app you could press an article and it would load a separate page with the article text which made it easy to read. It appears that feature has gone and instead you have to double press to zoom in but this gets messy when articles go over many columns as you have to keep scrolling up and down and it gets very complicated. When an article spills over two pages it becomes even more unnavigable. All up, I can't see any improvements or redeeming features that are an improvement over the old version. If it ain't broke, why fix it!!! Please bring back the old version! ### 1/5 — Don't load *2013-10-12, version 2.22.181* Was excellent until the last update for ios7. Now it is very problematic in getting the newspaper to downloaded. It is very unstable and you can rarely get through the paper without some technical problem and have to start from the opening page which takes ages to appear. Today I have only managed to read three pages - the others are just blank and black. Got an email from Apple on 15 July saying my subscription has been suspended. No reason given. I last paid on 26th June so they owe me a week. I've tried to re-subscribe but no joy. All I get is a IAP error and cannot contact iTunes Store. I can purchase from other apps so it's not me. Who can we contact?
