Now the advertising is taking over with long and multiple ads to play through before I can access my data. Some rather inappropriate ads if kids are on your device too. Not worth it. Saved info from it and deleted. ### 3/5 — Please stop the ads *2020-05-18, version 3.3* This app is great and I love it. It was just what I was looking for :) however, there are two things that really bug me. One, there are ads every single time you open it. And ads also pop up at random times and are unpredictable. I would rate this five stars if there were no ads. Second, in the birthdays, it shows your astrological sign but no your chinese sign. I would really love it if you could show both 👍🏻👍🏻 Thanks for the great app! ### 2/5 — No notifications and too many ads *2019-08-30, version 3.3* I spent ages inputting my calendar of birthdays, and even though notifications are turned on, I’ve had nothing! Zero alerts=useless. And when I open it to manually check I get served two long ads that I can’t exit until completely played, and a few clicks results in another 1min ad. Not worth it ### 4/5 — Color changes of pictures *2019-05-28, version 3.3* I really like the Birthday Board. It is great for tracking family and friends birthdays. But for some reason the month of May puts a green hue on pictures at the end of the month. I tried deleting and re-entering but that did nothing. Tried entering fictitious event in another month and no green hue. How do I fix this? ### 3/5 — Import bug *2019-04-28, version 3.3* Love the concept, was hoping to import Facebook contacts but understand Facebook won’t allow it. Was going to set it all up manually until I noticed my phone contacts’ birthdays all imported as the day after their actual birthdays. For example, if a person’s birthday was March 5, it imported March 6. ### 4/5 — Great Birthday Tracker *2018-03-20, version 3.3* I really love this app! It makes keeping up with everyone’s birthday so much easier. I also love the visual graphics. I’ve had no issues with this app and highly recommend it. Although it would be nice if you could also track anniversaries, deaths, etc. by being able to select what type of event it is—as another user suggested. Otherwise, it’s a great app!! ### 4/5 — Love this app *2018-03-07, version 3.3* I love this app for organizing birthdays and anniversaries. It's visually appealing and user friendly. I took off a point because when I uploaded birthdays from my contacts they were all one day off and I had to change them all manually. I would also love to be able to organize my boards in a different order than the order I created them. But overall this is the best birthday tracker app I have found. ### 2/5 — Won’t Sync *2018-01-12, version 3.3* I just bought this app and love the simplicity of it...I just want a quick look to see what birthdays are approaching and get a notification. I upgraded so I could sync it,, but it won’t let me. I initially put the app on my iPad, but I can’t get it to my iPhone. I keep getting a weird error message. I also can’t share the dates to anyone else, but the info says it can do family share. I hope this can be fixed or I ill be looking for a better app. ### 3/5 — Sound option *2017-12-21, version 3.3* My app is not sounding for the reminders. I don’t look at the board everyday to check on birthdays so if the alerts are not working I’m missing the day to say happy bday. I have it set to remind me two days ahead and on the day of. It's simple and what I was looking for; however no other app with ads as made me so frustrated. The ads just pop up in the middle of creating a reminder and you are stuck waiting and heaven forbid if you get the mini game! Killing me! Nothing like trying to get a date in there before you forget it...oh, wait, this is the perfect place for an ad! I bought the app. Congratulations. I paid your $2 to get the stupid ads out of my way. If it wasn't such a simple and easy app I would have rated it much lower and deleted it. I generally don't mind ads, but the timing of these is really bad. You are taken hostage until the 16 seconds is up. It's maddening. ### 2/5 — Not up to parr *2016-09-04, version 3.3* The idea for the app is great, what w/ being able to create multiple boards for bdays/anniversaries/etc. Unfortunately, when it used my contacts' info, it added a day to the date, so everyone's bdays were saved as a day late! I couldn't find a quick fix so I had to change them all manually. The layout also isn't the most convenient for a quick look through of date info, I guess I would have preferred more of a calendar-style setup. Excellent idea & the best app I could find to use, but definitely need to fix contact info bug so you don't have to enter all the information twice ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Too many bugs *2019-08-18, version 3.3* I started entering birthdays manually then saw the ability to download the birthdays in my contacts. I only had a few in there - So - I actually started adding birthdays to my contacts first and then “synced” them with the app by pulling the contact info. Like previous reviewers stated, it added a day. WTH. My friend’s birthday is May 32nd??? Anything over 31 shouldn’t even be in there as an option in a calendar type app. I’m not going back to fix each one. Also the ads were too much. I deleted the app. ### 1/5 — Literally always a day late *2019-05-22, version 3.3* When you import your contacts in, it doesn’t give you their birthday that you have in their contact card. The app adds a day and they tell you their birthday is the day after their birthday. Which makes it pointless unless I want to correct every single one and at that point, might as well just enter em all in my google calendar. Been hanging on for years to see if they finally fix this problem. But. Nope. They can’t make their own app work apparently. I don’t see anywhere in the description “do you like telling someone happy birthday the day after their birthday, so it looks like you forgot? Do you enjoy brining a cake to work to celebrate a coworkers birthday, but be a day late, so again it looks like you forgot? Well this app is for you!” ### 1/5 — Meh *2019-04-02, version 3.3* Just ok... if you remember to check it. It doesn’t send my alerts, the set up is kind of weird. There are no countdowns or reminders (even when you have it set to remind you ahead of time) and you cannot individualize reminders and the reminder sounds are strange (not that Reminders work anyways, and yes I have allowed push notifications in my settings). It takes forever to set up each individually and using the “from your contacts” not only lets them have all your contacts info, it’s a disaster and doesn’t work so you have to add each birthday manually. I’ve had it for years and it’s I mostly forget it’s even there. There’s been no updates in over 3 years. You might as well just set your phone to show birthdays in your calendar. UPDATE: DO NOT TRY TO ADD A SECOND BOARD! IT’LL DELETE YOUR ORIGINAL BOARD. DELETING. ### 1/5 — The day after? Really?? *2018-12-23, version 3.3* I could not figure out why all my reminders were coming the day before and the day after everyone’s birthday. Figured it out today. This app added a day to all of them! If a birthday fell on 15th it put it in as 16th. It did this to all 24 of my entries! I know when my birthday is and it was even wrong. There is no chance in hell I put in all 24 birthdays one day later. Will be looking for a new more reliable app. ### 1/5 — Exactly what I wanted but...... *2017-09-02, version 3.3* So easy to see and plan the many birthdays in our family - especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. I didn't even mind paying to get rid of the ads. Then, the extra day being added caused me to change several. Also, there were problems coordinating between my iPad and iPhone. No support help despite several email attempts. The final straw, after manually entering over 50 birthdays of young relatives on both platforms, they all disappeared! ### 1/5 — Huge bug ZERO Support *2017-06-16, version 3.3* Every birthday that is imported from Facebook (for some reason it allows importing only certain number of friends and not your entire friend list) I saved one day ahead. If my birthday were today... the app will save my birthdate as tomorrow. Despite multiple emails to the support team, neither have I ever received a response nor has the bug been fixed! Despite paying $2 for the app zero support. Look for a better alternate that atleast does it job right! ### 1/5 — Many Bdays were off by one day, Annoying Ads. *2017-02-04, version 3.3* So, I definitely wouldn't pay for it, most of my birthday dates for family were all exactly one day late, so yeah, I missed a couple important dates because of this App. Something is jacked up when it imports the dates. I went in and edited them once I realized what happened, but the ads are so annoying, and the little X to close the Ad moves around on you. I definitely wouldn't pay to have to go manually adjust all the dates, and the Ads are super annoying, so this App will be deleted... ### 1/5 — Ads not worth it *2016-04-10, version 3.3* This app is not worth waiting 30 seconds to watch an unskipable add every time I open it. I don't spend a lot of time in the app and waiting that long to quickly check a date is not worth it for me. It's also not worth paying $2 for the premium version, I'd rather use Notes or Reminders than this app. I would not mind banner ads or even full page, static ads that can be x'ed out immediately, but not a 30 second video... ### 2/5 — Won’t work *2020-01-07, version 3.3* I got everything input and the interface was user friendly and everything looked great!! But not it won’t open. It flashes up on the screen but then instantaneously shuts down. Restarting the phone doesn’t help. All that data entry and now it’s useless. 2 stars instead of one because the app itself was great... I’m so bummed it’s not working. ### 2/5 — Too many ads *2019-09-17, version 3.3* I am extremely annoyed with this app that if I want to pop in to add a birthday to check someone’s I already have entered, it immediately makes you watch ads. Not only that but I, also, noticed it had changed birthdays by one day. And I do not get notifications when it is someone’s birthday. Instead of individually adding every birthday I saw the option to 'share' for 1.99. So paid and the names were partially transferred. Only available if I chose the menu and chose 'countdown'. Lately, the app has crashed on my phone and my only option was to delete...so of course when I reinstalled it, it was brand fresh new. I chose 'sync' and they wanted me to pay 1.99 again. Finally found where to sign in and I kept getting 'forbidden access'. Not sure if it’s because I used a wrong password or what?!? What can I do (short of entering each one individually?)to get my information transferred to my phone app? ### 5/5 — Great *2018-10-04, version 3.3* I have used Birthday Board now for over a year. In fact probably longer than that. I have had no problems or glitches. All information transferred to my new phone and etc. with no problem. I get reminders regularly for upcoming birthdays. We gave forgotten how to write letters to family and friends. We go out to dinner and, rather than have a discussion, individuals are all eyes to the "Dumb" phone. Most importantly, we've become reliant on Facebook to tell us, "Today is little Suzie's birthday" and rather than sending a Birthday Card, we type, "Happy Birthday" on Facebook and that's it. Therefore, I have returned to letting my family and friends know how important that are to me and Birthday Board is a great help. Now, at the end of each month, I look at who has a birthday the next month and write out a Birthday card for those individuals. Thank you! Birthday Board for keeping me compassionate and caring. ### 5/5 — So far so good *2016-05-13, version 3.3* I like the simplicity of being able to see all the birthdays in order. I can do a quick survey of what cards I need to prepare for the upcoming month. Been looking for a long time for one that isn't all a bunch of words and dates and you have to read a lot. I do have a few suggestions. 1. On the anniversary section it won't let me click both man & woman. Also, I type in Troy & Sally on the first name part and the heart does not show it all. 2. I don't believe in astrology and would like to delete those signs. Why are they even there? 3. Last, I wish there was a place for addresses so let's say I opened Troy & Sally, to send a card, it would be nice if the address was right there.
