Only suggestion I might offer is would be nice to actually see the name of the birthday’er in the calendar date square when viewing data there. That way can scroll to other months and easily see who’s coming up right there. Still a 5 Star app for sure! Also the notes section is good to have ### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for! *2018-07-11* For years I have used a product called Einstime on my PC. It gave me calendar entries that included the ages of the birthday person I had added. It also had entries for wedding anniversaries and death anniversaries, again with elapsed time since. I was searching the App Store for something similar and have now discovered it! Birthday Boss is truly THE BOSS! Thanks!!! ### 5/5 — Great reminder app *2018-02-23* App works great. Reminds you when you select the appropriate settings. Even days or weeks in advance. Very easy to use. Just leave app open/minimized. Don’t close out of it completely :-) Customer service is excellent. Emailed back and forth until my phone’s issues were fixed. They worked with me until I knew how to use it. **Developer response:** If alerts aren't working check the app's settings screen to see what it says for 'Notifications' since it might be that the device is blocking them. The 'Alerts' section of settings can also be accessed from here to setup when to display the notifications. Syncs easily! First not only does it give you the flexibility to sync across all your devices but also the ability to include whatever you care to remember. Everyone does birthdays and anniversaries but this lets me do death memorials and other special events meaningful to me. Reminders can be set for a time you know you'll be able to receive and remember them. I like mine at 10am. I know where I will generally be and it's a time that I work with. WONDERFUL!! In addition the creator really listens to the users. In the months I've had the app there have been so many user requested additions and it just keeps getting better. This deserves all the stars +. Otherwise it’s a great app ### 4/5 — Just about perfect! *2021-11-05, version 4.2* By far the best birthday (etc.) app for iPhone that I’ve found! Very happy that it lets you leave the year of birth blank if you don’t know it. One bad feature is not being able to scroll backwards. To go on 364 days to see who you missed yesterday is a pain. Otherwise good. ### 4/5 — pretty good, missing widget option and custom reminder length *2021-10-10* awesome app, love the ability to view all the upcoming birthdays and not have any annoying in app purchase options/upgrades. would love to be able to customize the number of days before the bday for the alert - rn it’s only day of/1 day/2 days/1 week/2 weeks. ideally i would like a 4/5 day reminder because that’s just enough time to get their address and a card. but not a deal breaker :) also, could reaaaaaally use a widget for this!!!!! a nice upcoming birthdays view on a home screen would be awesome. **Developer response:** A Home Screen widget is coming… until then you still have the today-view widget for showing current-day events. ### 4/5 — J *2021-10-08* I am updating a review that I made this past week. My review was one star due to the fact that all info was deleted after the ios15 update. I would like to commend the developer Christopher King on his concern and many attempts helping me to find the cause and then to correct the problem. Although the glitch wasn’t reversed the developer spent a lot of time in attempting to finding a solution. To me this shows a quality product and a responsible developer. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear about the trouble but the iOS update should not impact your birthday boss data unless you change or logout of the iCloud account that you were using as part of it. After updates it can also take a while before the data appears according to other reports from previous updates. Most other birthday applications haven’t been updated in years. This one has almost every feature I could want. I do wish it would sync with Dropbox instead of just iCloud, so I could keep my wife’s devices in sync with mine. Thanks to the developer for keeping this excellent app alive and up to date.
