## What is BiSecur?

Control and check the current status of your garage door or entrance gate as well as entrance door* via the intuitive BiSecur app on your smartphone or tablet - conveniently from any location within your home network. Simply use your WLAN connection for this.

You can also make use of this convenient feature while you’re on the go. Registering your Gateway and smartphone or tablet on the internet at www.bisecur-home.com enables your personal access. All functions can now be operated on the go with the BiSecur app using your smartphone or tablet internet connection.
The BiSecur Gateway is easy to connect to your router using a network cable or via WLAN. Configuring the individual devices with Hörmann radio receivers is done via the BiSecur app. The program assists you step-by-step through setting up one or more operators and any other connected devices.

All functions that you control with your hand transmitters can also be executed with the BiSecur app. The intuitive menu navigation makes operation a breeze.

Simple overview
With the BiSecur app, you have an exact overview of the status of your garage door and entrance gate, as well as your entrance door* at all times. Self-explanatory icons show you whether your doors are open or closed or whether your entrance door is locked or unlocked.

Setting up scenarios
Simply combine several individual functions to make a scenario. A scenario means that, at the press of a button, you can, for example, open or close your garage door and entrance gate at the same time**, control your entrance door* together with your external lighting or set the ventilation position for two garage doors with SupraMatic operators at the same time. You create the scenarios individually for your personal app usage – exactly as you want them to be.


Simple user management
As the administrator you can define which devices can be operated by the individual users. This gives you full control, meaning, for example, that while you are on holiday, you can allow your neighbours to open your entrance gate, but not the entrance door that would allow them into your house.

Update: I had already emailed support as suggested by developer response and no answer since 13th March. 

Who is responsible for the manual at Hormann? Go try follow the instructions on page 47?  

Who is responsible for this app at Hormann? Go do the same and be very embarrassed.

Shockingly useless product from a company that should do better.

The system works. It is possible to control my garage door using the app. But thats it.
The configuration was really painful and annoying.
The app doesn‘t connect to siri and if you want to do anything it requires multiple presses, once you open the app, to get to the device and then control it.
Really bad UI. Hörmann told me they will not develop it further and I should buy a homee system!

Firstly I have a lot of respect for Hormann who usually produce top quality products which makes it a little surprising that they put their name to this. 

Set-up was unnecessarily complicated and extremely frustrating but as it is (hopefully) a one time affair you just need to put that behind you. 

For my particular roller shutter, it just opens and closes it, nothing in between and nothing to confirm that the requested action has been successful. I have had this over 12 months now and on the occasions that I have gone to use it, it has failed to work around 50% or more of the time. 

There are far too many button pushed and log ins happening when you go to use it and the apps feels like a very dated beta, certainly not the sort of polished product that you expect from Hormann. 

On the plus side, on the occasions when it has worked I have been able to have deliveries stored in the garage but on the occasions where it has not, I have looked like an idiot who cannot control his tech. 

If you really want this then it just about gets the job done but you might be better off going with a third party product such as Remootio.

No immediate access to door status & controls.

User experience is simply awful.

Gateway has no “over the wi-fi”
firmware update feature.

Cheap.

Not “made in Germany”

App is very basic but only works locally when mobile device is connected to same network as the gateway unit. Unfortunately there is a problem with the BiSecur registration portal which makes remote use of the App impossible. No information on when to expect a fix. Not very happy at the moment. Will update this review when I can get the app to work as advertised.

Considering the quality of hormann products this app simply does not represent the brand. Incredibly poor solution. I’ve configured it with DoorBird instead, 10 x quicker

Will work remotely only after 3 minutes of waiting!!! You start the app and will login for quite a long time!!!
It does work ok within the wifi (local acces), but as soon as you try from a cellular connection it will take forever.

It’s awfully bad to look at at use. There is no design standards at all. Looks like someone spent 5 minutes on it. 

Hörmann, this is a representation of your company, your brand. Perhaps allow someone to design your app who has progressed further than pre-school.

So, it doesn’t have the greatest user interface (looks like it was written by engineers for engineers), but with a little bit of patience in setting it up it works perfectly.  I’m using an iPhone XS and both WiFi and 4G without problems.
