Who is responsible for the manual at Hormann? Go try follow the instructions on page 47? Who is responsible for this app at Hormann? Go do the same and be very embarrassed. Your BiSecur Home Support Team. ### 1/5 — Don‘t waste your money *2021-01-09* The system works. It is possible to control my garage door using the app. But thats it. The configuration was really painful and annoying. The app doesn‘t connect to siri and if you want to do anything it requires multiple presses, once you open the app, to get to the device and then control it. Really bad UI. Your BiSecur Home Support Team. ### 1/5 — Awful *2020-05-08* No immediate access to door status & controls. User experience is simply awful. Gateway has no “over the wi-fi” firmware update feature. Cheap. Not “made in Germany” ### 1/5 — App works locally but cannot be used remotely *2019-11-21* App is very basic but only works locally when mobile device is connected to same network as the gateway unit. Unfortunately there is a problem with the BiSecur registration portal which makes remote use of the App impossible. No information on when to expect a fix. Not very happy at the moment. Will update this review when I can get the app to work as advertised. ### 1/5 — Very poor app *2019-11-12* Considering the quality of hormann products this app simply does not represent the brand. Incredibly poor solution. I’ve configured it with DoorBird instead, 10 x quicker ### 1/5 — Worst connection ever *2019-05-06, version 1.3.39* Will work remotely only after 3 minutes of waiting!!! You start the app and will login for quite a long time!!! It does work ok within the wifi (local acces), but as soon as you try from a cellular connection it will take forever. ### 1/5 — Was this app designed in the 90s? *2019-04-21* It’s awfully bad to look at at use. There is no design standards at all. Looks like someone spent 5 minutes on it. Hörmann, this is a representation of your company, your brand. Perhaps allow someone to design your app who has progressed further than pre-school. ### 1/5 — It has its uses but not good *2018-01-22* So... what I like about this door system with internet control is the ability to open the door whilst I am out to let a delivery be put inside whilst I watch on the camera (separate system) and then can close the door behind... regardless of where I am... also if I am outside and can’t be bothered to go back in the house for the key I can open it from my phone... bravo... that works okay... what is bad is the fact the screenshots imply you can part open the door and see the state of the door without having to revert to the internal camera I installed... it doesn’t work. Never has... support tried to suggest it was because the router was too far away... I have a Wi-Fi router connected to the Ethernet a doors width from the receiver... it can’t be closer!!!! Very poor show by BiSecur and no updates recently to sort it... ### 1/5 — Blank (blue) screen *2016-06-06, version 1.1.361* On my wife's iPhone 6 after bisecur and Hormann logo she gets blank blue screen and nothing else. Tried restarting, reinstalling, rebooting - doesn't work! ### 1/5 — Still unable to use on 3g *2016-02-21* Since update a few days ago, we are still unable to use 3g to operate garage doors. This has been a problem since the app was updated in early January, and given two or three updates since, is still no better. App speed opening on wifi is great and is much improved, unfortunately loss of 3g functionality is a major loss. When can we expect a proper fix regards this? ## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Works perfectly *2019-02-10* So, it doesn’t have the greatest user interface (looks like it was written by engineers for engineers), but with a little bit of patience in setting it up it works perfectly. I’m using an iPhone XS and both WiFi and 4G without problems. ### 5/5 — Works perfectly *2016-07-21* I don't understand the problems people are reporting with the app and can't replicate them. This works flawless with my Supramatic E and WLAN Gateway. Great job Hörmann, I'm looking forward to using more of your products where I can! ### 3/5 — Doesn't support iPhone X, or XS Max *2018-11-18* Has black bars, add support for newer phones!! ### 3/5 — Great setup video but *2014-11-08* On iPhone6 gateway is listed but not accessible and now searching for gateways then it crashes completely. Also the learning / teach does not work and settings are different to video. Where are the wifi settings? More development needed please. Have bought the Bisecure Gateway and want this to work so staying with it. Great idea. ### 2/5 — If you absolutely must! *2020-08-14* Firstly I have a lot of respect for Hormann who usually produce top quality products which makes it a little surprising that they put their name to this. Set-up was unnecessarily complicated and extremely frustrating but as it is (hopefully) a one time affair you just need to put that behind you. For my particular roller shutter, it just opens and closes it, nothing in between and nothing to confirm that the requested action has been successful. I have had this over 12 months now and on the occasions that I have gone to use it, it has failed to work around 50% or more of the time. There are far too many button pushed and log ins happening when you go to use it and the apps feels like a very dated beta, certainly not the sort of polished product that you expect from Hormann. On the plus side, on the occasions when it has worked I have been able to have deliveries stored in the garage but on the occasions where it has not, I have looked like an idiot who cannot control his tech. If you really want this then it just about gets the job done but you might be better off going with a third party product such as Remootio. **Developer response:** Dear Stevie C, Your Connectipn can be made more stable with some Network Settings. I’d prefer to have fewer screens to get to the door control. The internet connection only works on some profiles, even though the settings appear to be the same. It would also be great to have Alexa integration. Overall it’s basic function works and my garage door opens... ### 2/5 — Latest Update *2017-05-30* Up until the last update all fine but now will log me in to my Gateway but then can get no further.
