It tends to take a longer route for a more expensive fare. ### 1/5 — WORST TAXI APP *2026-06-30, version 9.1.0* Not sure how this app has a high rating, must all be bots. My driver was smoking cigarettes in the car whilst going 112mph with HANDS off the wheel. I felt very unsafe and contacted the app THREE times with my case being closed with no response. This app is a SCAM and the bitaksi people will NOT respond and will close your case. I told them about how my driver overcharged me, about the smoking, about the toll being incorrect in the app too (all in Turkish so they can understand) and it just says ‘your case has been finalised’. No email no nothing. 65 euros for a short trip. ### 1/5 — No screening *2026-06-25, version 9.0.4* Cars in very bad condition and the drivers are worse. Opted to use this app thinking the drivers would be better as they go through some sort of screening but I don’t think so. Also when you get in the car they will tell you the system has crashed so you have to pay cash. If you pay card they add 25% commission. Waste of time ### 1/5 — A total Scam *2026-06-14, version 9.0.3* The app gives you an estimate. For instance for our last trip, it said between 360 to 420 Lira. The taxi used a taximeter which at the end of the trip was around 400, but the driver charged us more than 1100 Lira. He kept speaking in Turkish aggressively and showed us another number on the meter. I filed a compliant on the app, after a day or two, it simply said "your request has been finilized" without any response, any result and even an ability to click on the complaint to view it! Absolute scam and I will never use it again. ### 3/5 — What’s the point? *2026-06-12, version 9.0.3* I was under the impression that this app operated like Uber. To my great surprise, the final price was 25% higher than the one reflected in the app order originally. You will be charged by the meter regardless of what was displayed. There were plenty of taxis in the airport and I could’ve saved myself time instead of uploading and registering with this app. Don’t waste your time and get a regular cab. ### 1/5 — Be Aware *2026-06-11, version 9.0.3* The problem with this app is the driver enters the amount manually and most drivers charge extras. ### 2/5 — Estimated fare is a unreliable.. *2026-05-31, version 9.0.2* Fare was estimated to 600 to 1000 liras, but it became 1490 liras.. Card payment didn’t work on the app. There was an error. Had to do manual card payment that ended up being 1780 liras with surcharge.. I came with my sick wife to Turkey for treatment, but most of the drivers scamming us which makes our trip more miserable, whenever i tried to contact the support and send them about what happened. 100% ignoring us. The taxi driver was also speeding like crazy and then we had to spend another 15 minutes redirecting the journey which tripled in price by the end of the journey. Stick with Uber. ### 1/5 — Trash app. Use uber *2026-08-17, version 9.1.8* In roughly 1 out of 2 rides the app does not let the card payment go through (despite the card working on every other app) leading to discussions / arguing with the taxi driver especially if you do not have cash, which is the exact situation the app should be designed to solve. Do not download. Uber does the job better. ### 1/5 — Scam alert *2026-08-11, version 9.1.7* ⚠️ Very disappointing experience — I was charged twice I booked and paid for the transfer through the app, but when I arrived, the driver told me that the payment had not gone through and insisted that I pay in cash. I told him I didn’t have cash, and after a lot of arguing, he asked me to pay by card using his payment machine. I paid by card, but when I arrived at the hotel and checked my bank account, I discovered that the payment from the app had already gone through as well. So I was charged twice for the same transfer (3,400 TRY each time). This was extremely stressful and unprofessional. I strongly recommend checking your bank statement before paying again if a driver tells you that your app payment failed. I hope the company investigates this issue and refunds the duplicate payment. ### 1/5 — zero control over drivers *2026-08-09, version 9.1.6* Terrible experience and zero control over drivers Bitaksi lacks proper driver regulation and passenger protection against greedy practices. During my last ride, the driver kept driving in circles on the same road just to inflate the meter price. Even when I repeatedly asked him to stop and let me out, he refused and kept driving. Passengers are completely at the mercy of driver greed with no safety or accountability rules from the app. Extremely disappointed and unsafe experience. ### 1/5 — DİKKAT! Böylece, kullanım koşullarını kabul etmenin yanı sıra, kişisel bilgilerinizin paylaşılmasına da zorunlu onay vermek durumunda bırakılıyorsunuz. ### 1/5 — Unreliable for visitors, cards stop working with no warning *2026-08-02, version 9.1.5* I used BiTaksi for several trips in Turkey with my Bank of America credit card, which the app had already verified through an SMS text code. Then, without any warning or explanation, the app suddenly stopped accepting the same card. No notification, no error message that made sense — it just stopped working mid-trip planning. This left me stranded without a reliable way to pay for rides during my visit. For a service that tourists depend on, this is a serious problem. If a card is verified once, it shouldn’t just stop working randomly. BiTaksi needs a more dependable payment system for international visitors, or at least clear communication when something changes. Public transport is very good and Uber is coming. *2026-07-01, version 9.1.1* I gave it a try as in theory uber was not working there yet and I arrived to late for the underground and the experience was not very good. I did everything it was recommended, auto pay, taximeter, etc, still, you won’t get any taxi if you do not pay priority fees, and then the taximeter is useless as the taxi driver will ALWAYS insert the price he wants, so either you act vigilante and have a fight with the driver telling him he is robbing you or you accept and pay. I did both and it tiring. Don’t bother just take a normal taxi if you need it would exactly the same, you wk t wait at all as they are always there and they will charge whatever they want any ways.
